The Aqua-Pure AP430SS Scale Inhibition System helps extend the life of appliances that use hot water (e.g., water heaters – standard and tankless and washing and dishwashing machines), as well as plumbing fixtures (e.g., faucets, pipes and shower heads). Offers a controlled dosage of polyphosphates for maximum system performance and cartridge life (avg. cartridge life is 4-6 months).

This little filter is supposed to reduce calcium build up from hard water. There is no way to tell if it works and no guarantee to replace anything should it fail and your tankless water heater be destroyed as a result. It has a proprietary threading and hook up so you can’t easily put something else in line if it turns out to be useless. As a result, I can’t really review it. If it protects my hot water heater then it’s a good investment. If it doesn’t, it isn’t.

Although it seems I reviewed this product once before (second one installed) I was once again impressed by the quality an ease of installation. The siphon type tee fitting is stainless steel and will clearly last forever. Time will tell how well the product will protect the water heater but as it is not really a filter but a siphon feed element it will not impede the flow of water when it is used up!S. long time builder.
