I wanted the privacy screen to reduce the glare on my new Dell Laptop screen. It fits the screen perfectly but it doesn’t reduce the glare as much as I hoped and the privacy feature casts a shadow over the screen even when you look directly at it. I couldn’t find a screen with just a non-glare feature at B&H or elsewhere.

I’ve purchased one of these for every laptop that I own. If you travel by plane, bus, or train, this is a necessary addition to your laptop bag. It keep peering eyes from your neighbors out of what you’re doing. The only downside is the way that it connects to the monitor using a series of tabs. I find them to be relatively ugly to add but it’s a trade off. You can use a simple piece of velcro at the top instead, if desired.

Good product works well. Don’t like the plastic tabs that have to be adhered to the side of the laptop screen to hold it in place, screen slips out sometimes also. It does work excellently to protect your privacy, though.

This is my first privacy filter and for some reason I thought it would be thin enough to stay in place without tape. But you have to apply these sticky tabs to the border of your laptop which just ruins the edges of the picture. The filter itself is a perfect fit for the 15.6 widescreen display. But because it is widescreen the edges of the picture look dim because you are not looking at the sides straight on.
