So after about 11 months of ownership the monitor has started having an issue. There is a purple vertical line that shows up occasionally on the left side of the monitor that comes and goes. Luckily this thing has a 3 year warranty but make sure you keep your box around if you buy this monitor.

I love having this monitor for productivity. You can have essentially 2 full screen windows open side by side. I really wanted to stay away from curved monitors since I use up to 12 workstations a day and they all have flat monitors (moving from curved to flat gives me a motion sickness type of feeling). I have no issue with viewing angles on this screen. Distortion of the images at the edge of the screen is very minor and not problematic. Overall, however, I bought this monitor for first and third person shooter games and it is fantastic. I cannot go back to 16:9 now. I could see where QHD would be good for gaming also but this resolution and field of view is wonderful. I upgraded from 1080p 60hz to this monitor. Refresh rate and AMD freesync are good. Brightness is lower than some competition, but it is very usable even without being turned up all the way. I will say that calibrating colors takes some effort and that might be my only major complaint to this point. If you do photo editing, you may wish to look at other models. Exceptional value for the price point compared to most competitors offering this resolution with 144mhz (and it was the only noncurved model I could find with this resolution and refresh specs without spending close to $1k USD).

Great monitor, no issues

I just received this monitor and I will update my review if anything changes. No dead pixels and no noticeable backlight bleed. Very good response time, instantly noticeable difference while playing Warzone. The image quality is quite good after tuning, it came with the warm color temperature setting set by default, it should be on normal.

B&H Photo sent this monitor without delay and I love it, grerat price too. Don’t be turned of by the panel adjustments at the rear, you can download the Acer widget app thing and make most adjustments with your mouse. I’ve had the monitor for approx 10 months at this point. There is now a purple-ish line going down the left side of the monitor. Hopefully the return process isn’t a big hassle.

I’ve been dealing with this for awhile now but dang Acer really had to cut corners on this model. It’s good for short periods, but any longer or even gaming sessions and itll really take its toll on you. Brightness is a weakpoint in this monitor as well. 400 nits isnt enough… if you are a night owl this might not bother you
