I am posting this because I couldnt find reviewers saying whether the Acer T272HUL monitor worked with a Microsoft Surface at the monitors full resolution. This monitor is working as a second monitor connected to my Surface Pro 4 using the Microsoft dock. Full resolution (2560 x 1440) is working using the display port input (I am using a mini display port to display port cable from Radio Shack). Using the HDMI input allowed only 1920 x 1080 resolution (I used a mini display port to HDMI adapter from Microsoft and standard HDMI cable). The touchscreen function also is working with the USB cable connected to the computer.

I sent the unit back for a refund. I’m sure it was an isolated incident but after spending 10 minutes on the phone with their ridiculous tech support I decided that I was done with them.

B&H were out of stock at the time at the time I purchased two of these monitors as refurbished units from the ACER Store. There performance has been flawless. While not full 4k resolution the 2560 X 1440 they present is perfect for a dual monitor setup with a (late 2012) i7 Mac Mini. I am planning to purchase another couple of these displays. They are that good. I use most of the popular DAW software environments and am enjoying a much improved workflow. I don’t often write product reviews however seeing a one star rating for this great monitor I had to speak up. Thanks for your interest. EJL

This is probably the best touchscreen monitor you can buy in terms of size and resolution. However, it is fragile. I had an installation of fiber a couple of days ago and had to take the monitor off its mount for the installation. I leaned it against a wall and it tipped over on to the carpet and ended up with two cracks that have rendered it useless. Any other monitor would have not been damaged in the least, so be careful. The face of the monitor is glass and surprisingly very fragile.
