Used these to replace 14 year old stock SSD drives in a couple of Dell laptops. Easily twice as fast and double the capacity of the old drives possibly due to newer caching technology or memory type.

My ADATA SU630 is sketchy and unreliable. I have many similar SSD in a fleet of computers and this is the only one to give me any problems – and it consistently has problems. I have reset and re-initialized it multiple times, and it is 1) slow, and 2) unreliable – used with disappointment with different motherboards from multiple manufacturers. It is very slow. It must have a buffer/cache which runs fast – but once the data stream outpaces the cache, it slows to a crawl. Other drives run faster at all times. It performs at its worst in an ADATA brand external SSD enclosure! Very disappointed – I stopped using it altogether. Of course, B&H promptly delivered it in super safe packaging, so it is in the clear!! Just MY take – your mileage may vary. JR

I used mine for a server running win7. My cmos recognized it but win7 only see it as a 2TB. I tried various partitioning software from my Hirens15.1 until I found one that recognized the full size. I divided the drive into 4 parts. Now win7 has no problem with it. I loaded all my files from my previous hdd with no problems. This is really a great drive for the price. Super happy with it.
