Being a newbie with all this zoomin’ around, I had no idea what to expect. B&H was out of my first two choices, so when this came up I went for it. Looks pretty impressive in the photo, but when it arrived, it was like the size of a zippo cigarette lighter. But, right out of the box, it did just what I needed it to do. I’m not doing visual art here, just want to zoom with doctor, family, and I’ve been using it for screen share with customers (I’m a furniture designer). For the price, I recommend this. Only drawback I found, was I don’t feel it mounts very securely to my desktop monitor. It’s got a 1/4 thread at the bottom, so I just attached it to one of my small tripods.

I usually use it for Zoom and Teams. It gets the job done. Not too fancy, but I would recommend it.

I’m using a Mac mini as a Zoom recording station with a Blackmagic UpDownCrossHD as a monitor converter to SDI sending the output to a MPEG recorder. I only needed a webcam to put on my mac mini in order to get Zoom to work properly (no cam or mic and Zoom won’t let you use computer as audio source). This fits the technical bill. Although we rarely turn the camera on in Zoom, the image quality is OK but not great.

Sometimes it is soft, usually resetting the USB fixes it. Take care with the wires where they attach.

While the picture is sharp, I was disappointed by the yellow tint. I purchased two of these webcams and the yellow tint showed in both. Also, the cable was too short for my setup being I have two large monitors on a 5′ wide desktop and a full tower off to the side on a lower table, and I wanted the camera on the screen further from the tower. While the cable length can be worked out and is not the reason for the low rating, it attest to a cheaply made product that did not match up with the price tag. Ended up returning both of units.

Compact size, good quality video, very easy to install (basically plug-and-play). Lens cover a great feature for insuring privacy. No complaints about this equipment.

I bought this webcam to use with my new Mac Book Air (M1) when it’s connected to a monitor (i.e. when the laptop is closed and I can’t use its camera). The image quality was poor, appearing overly bright and blurry. I reached out to Adesso several times via the support phone number on their website, but no one even answered. I did finally get their attention via a contact us box on their home page. The individual who replied seemed to be a familiar with the problem and told me ” a firmware flash needs to be performed through a Windows PC.” I told them I don’t have one of those and asked for an alternate solution. That was two days ago and they haven’t responded to multiple followups on my part. Bottom line appears to be Adesso has only limited support for this webcam in the Apple environment, and it may not work at all on Apple silicon. I’m sending it back.

I needed a camera for my laptop as the one built in suddenly died. This seemed like a great choice. There’s an app for it to adjust the light and focus. It’s a little big compared to some others I have seen but it gets the job done. The auto focus is a bit loud but works well and holds up in low lighting.
