Its a multifunction pole with a tripod and a multipurpose mounting bracket. It all comes in a neat 3 section carrying bag. The carrying bag is soft and durable, with a reinforced carrying strap. Each section has a zipper closure and is sized to fit the coordinating items. There’s 1 pocket for the poles, 1 for the tripod, and 1 for the mount. It’s definitely a tripod and it definitely extends to 12 feet. I’m not sure “telescoping” is an accurate description. There are 5 poles that screw together to get the maximum height. Each pole is 2 feet long. The mount allows you to position a laser, camera, etc anywhere along the 12 feet.

Great portable, lightweight tripod. It’s super lightweight and easy to set up, break down and pack up. Makes it great for on the move jobs. It seems to be built well, plastic pieces seem strong and durable, but could crack over time, if not cared for. I’m happy with it.

Happy with this laser pole and tri pod mount. I’ve had some that don’t set up as easily, or glide as smoothly. Not this one from Adir, it’s top notch. when you’re doing laser scouting or triangulating you want the best, as you’re trying to be precise. no room for error. and I like the way this piece works. I definitely recommend!
