I really like the feel and quality of this surveying pole and the compression lock makes it extremely easy to set the desired length quickly. It feels very sturdy and goes down to just under 5 ft when shortened all the way, so makes it easy to travel with.

Compared to many other brands, this prism pole has many of the same features but comes more affordably priced. There are markings on both sides of the pole, one side for feet, the other for centimeters. The pole felt sturdy overall, and the compression lock seemed to be able to hold at each gradation, but I’m not sure how it’d be over repeated use. The carrying case was a bright yellow which is pretty nice for visibility. The screw collar turned pretty smoothly as did the adjustable tip. This is my first prism pole so I can’t compare against others, but I did notice that the screws weren’t standard screws, and I’d read reviews about this too. You can tighten the screws if ever needed with the included tool, but it’d be hard to find replacements. Overall I think this is a fine purchase for occasional use, but you may want to consider other options for heavier use.

I recently got this Adirpro Prism Pole from TryIt Sampling. It is a really cool tool, my husband works in construction and loves this tool, it has a included level on it and comes with it’s own carrying case.

I really like how the rod shortens and makes it easy to transport. So far it seems sturdy and the compression lock seems well designed. Overall the product seems well built and sturdy. It’s also lightweight.
