The Cloud storage is convenient and the options to add storage capacity is Nice 1 TB should do it!

Not much different than the stand-alone DVD that Adobe discontinued. I should have stayed with the stand-alone rather than wasting my money over and over again. You do get Photoshop also.

I am returning to the world of DSLR and Photography as an art and hobby after 15 years of just taking point and shoot family gathering shots. The post production activities are all new to me and I am somewhat bewildered still. I have spent several months getting acquainted with the wonderful advances that have occurred in the camera itself. Now I am trying to become familiar with the capabilities of the software and the doors it seems to open. Too new to have much to report back yet however.

I hate Adobe’s subscription version of Photoshop that Mac Catalina requires. I find it twitchy and user unfriendly. I’ve been working in Photoshop since it first came out, but I will not renew my subscription and will go back to using Photoshop 6, which runs great on my Mac’s running Snow Leopard and High Sierra.

I love PS and LR.

I took this with a combo of 7D mark II, Pro 10 Printer and Paper. This came as a free subscription for 1 year and I am absolutely loving it. I think I will continue this beyond a year

The software features are nice but I just wish Adobe would give better instructions. The initial transfer went smoothly. The catalog from my LR5 switched over easily, all I had to do was update the catalog after opening the software, I wish Adobe had given a run down on installation especially when transferring a catalog from a previous version beforehand. Also, for some reason every time I log in it asks me if I want the trial membership or asks me to register. What’s the point in that? I really do like the Dehaze feature in LR but yesterday it suddenly disappeared, it was like I was working with my older version of LR, not sure why that happened. I rebooted and it was back. Also for some reason while working in Photoshop my screen occasionally goes in and out of black. Not sure what is causing that (could be not enough RAM?) Then suddenly CC said Bridge was installed. Odd, I never asked to install it. Otherwise both Lightroom and Photoshop have lots of nice photo editing features which I find do work well.

I am new to Lightroom and photoshop and am finding the tutorials very helpful and I like that this offers syncing to my iPad and iPhone as well as creating catalogues and collections on my iMac. However it comes with only 2 GB of ICloud storage which is the reason for the 3 star review …. Not enough storage, you can run through that in minutes. I got help w installation and once I did it was easy ( through chat)… The instructions that came w it for installation did my work for me, I was given another link.

I had to get the newer version of Lightroom, because my new Sony ar7 I raw files could not be read by my older version. I don’t like the new system, but they have the only game in town. I haven’t yet learned how to use photoshop, but I’m sure that you can do some awesome things with it.

When you think about the power that these too tools give you, even in comparison to the cheaper / free options out there, it is hard to not to be impressed. I am fairly new to the Adobe suite, having been using tools like Darktable and Gimp on Linux for a long time. Switching may be one of the best decisions I have made. These programs are truly top notch, and run like a dream. You can achieve powerful edits with finesse… and that is exactly what I look for in post processing.

Best thing was B & H sale & delivery! I am a PS user for over 10 years and LR from it’s inception, never had these problems with perpetual licensed copies. In 38 days of using PS & LR CC I have had LR fail more then once, PS un-commanded preference resets, had PS pause for a minute or two where you can do nothing. Conversion of LR Libraries moved folders organization within the order of the Library. The LR Artist Brush works slower than in LR-4, almost unusable. This morning CC said PS up-date available attempted to up-date failed, message retry, failed again with error U44M1P7. Searched Adobe form & Support help found info to replace a Folder Name within C Users … After several attempts at retry updating got message to contact support (49). Ya thanks a lot Adobe! Finely found support chat on line and waited. Eventually the chat person worked the issue on line for 36 minutes to clear the error message. I have been assured by the chat person that i have the latest version of PS although I did not see / experience any download taking place as this usually takes ten to fifteen minutes. I ran a trial version of PS & LR CC several months before purchasing the subscription without all these problems. Smoke and mirrors I guess! I run MS Windows 7 Profession on a work station with all up-dates to Win 7. This is extremely disappointing that Adobe CC is worse than my experience with the perpetual licensed products for over 10 years. For the few improvements that CC PS & LR provides that I actually use this was a poor decision. Further problems like this and I will cancel the rest of my subscription and revert back to my perpetual licensed PS & LR.

This is my first renewal of the Adobe CC annual subscription and B&H has the best deal going. LR and PS are the core of my photographic post processing and couldn’t do without it!

Since moving to subscription based, Adobe has abandoned any pretense of customer care or support (support is now indirectly administered from a user forum, meaning there isn’t any). Essentially whether the product works or not, you are stuck paying Adobe either way, and they know it. Each update comes with a fresh host of bugs and issues making work tedious and costly. In the most recent update, I have to restart Photoshop every 10 minutes for it to be useable. Otherwise, the tools start lagging where there is a 30 second delay between EVERY click. The cursor constantly also gets stuck in every field you need to type in, so when you move on to the next thing, you find out you’re still stuck in the last field you were working and can’t get out. I should mention I have 24 gigs of RAM and a 4 gig video card; top of the line specs are meaningless. If you have an older version of PS, keep it. The new features are not worth the headache, especially if you use this program for a living.
