I use this mic to record pod programs. It works great for this application. I also use it with my Nikon DSL camera to record sound when filming. Perhaps not what it’s made for, but it sure beats the build in microphone and it records with a very clear audio signal.

The manual says that the microphone needs a voltage of 1.5-5 V. However, it is not clear how to apply it. It is proposed to include a microphone in the laptop. But a condenser microphone does not work without phantom power. How to use a microphone is not clear in this case.

We added this direct plugnplay microphone and increased quality of communication on weekly Lync calls and online meetings. Better teamwork and better effciency. Low cost, big impact.

I don’t understand the comments of high praise. I purchased this product and it has terrible pickup. I think it may be that it’s because Im using a Mac, and if it is, I apologize but the microphone needs one to talk loud into it within inches. Not so good. Why a Mac headphone jack would be different than a PC? I have no idea. That’s why I don’t think it’s a Mac problem. If you have a PC, go for it. It may work.
