I previously had a paper towel holder that whole did the job, I was never pleased with. It consistently moved around while trying to get the towel ripped off. The ball arm and no slide bottom greatly help with ripping off sheets on this one. It has a very clean design and I can forsee using it and replacing it eventually with the same model as needed.

Very pleased with this product and design. It holds the paper towel in place and helps you tear at the perforations of the sheets with the arm holding the roll from moving more. It’s a sleek looking design in stainless steel. The biggest challenge was putting it together, but after a few minutes I was able to figure it out. The screw needed are already in the unit, so you remove it from the part to put the other parts on and then tighten.

Nice quality paper towel holder. Brushed nickle matches my kitchen faucet and appliances. The holder has nice felt on bottom to protect the counter top. The holder has a spring loaded arm that holds the paper towel sheet. The arm works fairly good. It doesn’t quite get tension when the roll is low. There are 2 allen wrench screws on the spring to adjust the tension. I haven’t quite got it perfect yet (we use mega size paper towel rolls).

You will love this tension arm stainless steel paper towel holder is easy to assemble, The bottom of this paper towel holder is weighted so that when you pull off a paper towel it doesn’t fall over. The stainless steel looks really good and is easily cleaned with a damp towel. I highly recommend this paper towel dispenser as it offers a great long term design.

This paper towel holder has made my kitchen look organized in an instant. It was easy to assemble, a few turns with a phillips screwdriver, and you’re all set. A couple smudges it came with were easily taken out with a stainless steel cleaner and well, a paper towel that it was made for. It is now sitting on an undercabinet shelf and looks like a million dollars. I received many compliments about it as well as about my good taste in choosing it. I am very pleased with my new Alpine paper towel holder and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who wants to organize their space in style.

Sturdy paper towel holder, stainless steal construction with a brushed finish. The top knob makes it easy to grab the holder & towel roll and carry it (along with your spray cleaner bottle) to wherever the spills are in the house. It has a spring loaded tension arm that keeps the paper towel roll from turning as you tear off a sheet. My only complaint is that when you get down to about the last 25% of the paper towel roll, the tension arm is no longer in contact with the roll. That makes tearing off a sheet a little more difficult (the roll turns and partially unwinds). I tried to bend the spring tension so that it would be a little closer to the center post which helped some.

This paper towel holder is replacing one from another brand that constantly fell over when dispensing paper towels. This paper towel holder is extremely sturdy and looks great on my countertop. I really enjoy using it.

It looks nice, appears to be well made, and is stylish. With a jumbo roll of paper towels the tensioning arm sits pretty tight against the roll, maybe too tight for some people. The biggest drawback is that the tensioning arm’s contact point with the paper towel roll is a small metal ball. It would work better if the ball was a long flat piece of metal and if the arm had a little less tension.

I’m one of those “cooking-challenged” folks who usually spends more time cleaning up my messes than actually cooking, so I go through paper towels pretty quickly. I needed a new paper towel dispenser, but one that was both stylish and could be moved from one counter to another, depending on my task.I chose this Alpine Tension Arm Stainless Steel Paper Towel Holder initially based on its great looks — the sleek, brushed stainless steel is a perfect match with other elements of my kitchen. But I quickly appreciated its unique spring-loaded retaining arm — it flexes to accomodate any size of roll, and it holds the roll tight as you pull off a sheet or two.The base is weighted, and has four rubber pads affixed to grip your counter surface and keep the holder firmly in place as you pull off the sheets. The components of this Alpine offering are well made, and assembly only takes a minute or two. A very nice kitchen must-have at a very affordable price!

This paper towel holder came nicely packaged and was easy to assemble. The weihted base is nice but it is bigger the my previous holder. The tension arm holds the paper towels till you get to the last maybe thirs of the roll which is a bit disappointing.

I got this paper towel holder to replace one that did not allow the towel roll to rotate freely so it took two hands to retrieve a paper towel. If both hands are dirty it gets to be a problem. The spring loaded arm on the side of the roll is just the right pressure for easy operation. This is a nice looking holder and compliments the other kitchen accessories nicely. Assembly is also very easy.

I had a paper towel holder on my wall that kept falling off. I got this one that sits on my counter and I like it so much. I can pick it up and bring it closer to where I am using them. So happy with it

This very handy paper towel holder has a unique spring loaded side arm which presses against the paper roll making it easy to tear off single pieces without the roll unrolling. It is a nicely finished stainless steel unit with a weighted bottom to assist in keeping the paper roll on the table and not on the floor. The spring arm on the side springs from the bottom to adjust to an almost empty roll for keeping the roll from unraveling too much. I think the only item I would ding this on is that the weighted bottom could or should be a bit heavier as it is a bit light and sometimes you could accidentally slide it off the table. Nice unit for the most part though. I do recommend this.

This towel holder was selected for use in our outdoor kitchen. The previous holder did not have a tension arm to keep the towels from unwinding in the wind. However as depicted in that attached pictures you can see the issue with this item. If you have full roll of towels the arm holds them in place, however as the towels are consumed and the roll gets smaller the tension arm no longer presses against the roll, thus letting the towels unwind. Being stainless is nice since I think it will be beneficial since it’s outside and should resist rusting. A simple fix would of been to have the arm continue the pressure on the roll as the roll got smaller.

Could be a little heavier to anchor it when pulling out a towel
