I have a different syle paper towel holder that has two vertical bars – one to hold the roll and one to prevent it from unrolling further. But if you use an extra large roll it’s difficult to use especially when the roll is new. On this holder, I can use those big rolls and easily remove any amount needed. The removable, decorative hanger is easy to take on and off to change rolls and keeps the roll from unraveling.

So far this paper towel holder seems to be holding up well. I like the stainless steel look and it easy to handle when replacing a roll of paper towels. The no slip pad on the bottom keeps it from moving around on the counter top. The stand came in pieces so there is some assembly required but nothing too difficult. Looks good and serves it’s intended purpose can’t go wrong there.

We just finished renovating our kitchen. This paper towel holder fits in nicely with the brushed bushed aluminum stainless appliances we installed. It has a good weight to it and resists tipping fairly well (I’ve had no issues anyway).Assembly was straight forward and simple. It will require an occasional wipe down to remove fingerprints, but it isn’t a hassle by any stretch of the imagination.

A good inexpensive vertical paper towel holder. Sold unassembled but very easy to put together. A nice brushed chrome finish complements most decors. The top mounted holder with the weighted pendant gives a unique look to this paper towel holder. The base could be aliitle heavier and wider to make it more stable, but a nice vertical paper towel holder the price.

Good Luck tearing off a single paper towelI received the Alpine Stainless-Steel Paper Towel Holder with Slip-Resistant Base through the Home Depot Seeds program in exchange for a fair review. This item was received within a week of ordering but was packaged poorly, the box was literally destroyed but luckily the towel holder didn’t have any dings or dents. This paper towel holder is a beautiful design made of a brushed stainless steel with a stainless steel arm with a tear drip dangle that makes it a very attractive kitchen accessory. It is easy to assemble, although instructions are not that great but one can easily figure it out. Any person older than 12 can put it together and the only tool necessary is a Phillips screwdriver, from start to finish it took less than 5 minutes. This is where the positives end because despite this being an attractive kitchen paper towel holder it is not very functional. The weighted base is not heavy enough to keep the paper towel roll in place and the arm does not keep the paper towel roll from unrolling, as a result you have to tear the towels off with two hands, otherwise you will find half the roll can be pulled out without tearing at the perforation. Definitely not the one hand paper towel holder they promised!The Alpine paper towel holder retails for under $16.00 and is made in China.I would not recommend this paper towel holder because the weighted bottom and spring loaded loop and arm do not allow you to tear off paper towels at the perforation. It is a very attractive design though and if you don’t mind tearing the towels yourself then you may like this paper towel holder.

This product arrived in solid packaging and without a defect. The holder requires assembly but it’s easy to put together by tightening a screw at the bottom of the base while holding the towel rod in place. The “weight” attaches to the top with prongs. This paper towel holder is mid-weight and works fine with regular ease when pulling a piece of paper towel off the roll. The non-slip bottom is not attached to the base. However, it does not slip away when you pull the towel with regular force. You could glue it to the base, but then you won’t be able to tighten the screw if the bar loosens (maybe make a hole?). The decorative “weight” does make a slight jingling noise upon use, but that is just an FYI.

Pleasing minimalist design for taming paper towel dispensing without the need to commit to permanent placement. An artistic looking weight secures the towel roll from unwinding errantly but be aware of these two facts: (1) the base of the unit is non-slip which means it will stay put on the countertop but despite the weighted “keeper” it will still take two hands to tear off a sheet since the applied friction is not enough to hold the roll still while doing so(2) to replace an exhausted paper towel roll requires the temporary removal of the weight mechanism to allow the new roll to slide on post (the towel core is not large enough to slip over the weighted arm) but it is easily slipped on and off so its usefulness, in my considered opinion anyway, outweighs the effort required.

The base is weighted so it won’t tip over when you pull a paper towel off. It is made of stainless steel so it looks nice on the counter. There is an arm that holds the paper towel in place so they don’t unroll. There is an adhesive backed silicone base that protects your surface and keeps it from sliding around. Assembly was very easy; it took less than five minutes.

The paper towel holder has to be assembled and all you need is a Phillips screw driver. The finish is stainless steel and is not finger proof but looks nice. I didn’t know if I was going to like the weight that holds the paper towels in place but it works really well and if you don’t like it just pull it apart and the rest of the unit works fine. The bottom is skid free rubber so it won;t move all over the counter.

This has a nice stainless steel look to it. I love the non-skid base as I am always reaching for a paper towel and pulling the holder off the counter. Now I pull it and the stand stays in place. I love the little counter weight as it holds the towels in place as you pull the paper towel off the holder. I am always ripping my towels in half, now when I pull it I get the whole sheet.

I like the spring-loaded tension it has that keeps the paper towels from sagging and going everywhere. They stay in place very well. You just twist off the top assembly to change your roll out, quick and easy. It measures 5.9” depth, 12.8” height and 5.9” wide. This can be used anywhere, not just the kitchen. You can use this in your bathroom, shop, table top, patio or wherever you want to put it. It is a great looking stainless steel paper towel holder. I would recommend this to everyone. It appears to be well made and a great price.

The Free Standing Stainless Steel Non-Slip Base Paper Towel Holder is such a conventional paper towel holder to have where needed! It is easy to put together, comes with all parts needed, and does keep the end towel secure and not blowing around. The only thing is, it does hold even larger (thick) rolls of paper towels, but it is not at tall/grand as you think. It is not ‘tiny’, it does hold the towels in place, but if you’re looking for a ‘regal’ holder, this particular one may be a bit misleading. I tried to take straight on photos to give an idea just how big it is.

This paper towel holder is easy to assemble and all the parts are included. Following directions was a little tough for me but after unpacking and disassembling all the pieces and examining them closely I was able to figure it out. The directions do not tell you that the bottom non-skid black rubber piece has a peel and stick part to it but with a little trial and error, I figured it out. I wasn’t expecting to need any tools but ended up using a butter knife to unscrew the one and only screw. The holder works well and looks nice on my countertop.
