The price to performance on these new cpu’s is better performing and lower cost than ever before. Makes new builds even more affordable. AMD seems to be providing for the little guy and Intel has moved on to other things. Highly recommended.

I’d never seen a CPU in the flesh before this one. Totally awesome. It was easy to install and it computes, what more could I ask for? The instructions included we’re clear and helpful.

The description show indicate you MUST have a discreet video graphics to see anything. It does NOT included integrated graphics. After installing this CPU, I wondered why my monitor was still blank. Then I saw the fine print on the box, discreet graphics card needed. This CPU does NOT send any video to your mother board video ports. So I am on a search for a video card. I don’t play games, but I needed something that could do simple video and Zoom meetings. The price of video cards is like what the price of wood was last summer when I built my fence. Crazy! So I’m looking at used cards.

At this price, Intel can simply not compete. With the right fan setup and case, you can easily run tons of chrome tabs, intensive video games, and stream music seamlessly at temps as low as 60 C! I am a somewhat casual PC user however so I have yet to run extremely heavy processes like simulations so I cannot speak to that. For everyday processes and gaming, it is AMAZING! Can’t beat the price!

I just built a new PC that needed to be better than my 2015 Dell as I was just running too slow to do photo editing and engineering drawings in Libre Draw. I paired this with an Asus X570 and 32 GB of 3200 Crucial Memory. I retained my old video card and SDD. 100% CPU is now 5% CPU loading. 15 second skin smoothing is now under 1 second. I’m not a gamer so the old video was just fine for my 3 monitors.

It runs amazing but even when idling, the base fan is quite loud. It speeds up and slows down randomly and makes a noticeable noise. You can modify the settings in the computer to stop this but it dramatically effects the performance. I would advised buying an aftermarket cooler. Other than that, great product!

This is replacing a 2700k system I have been running forever and what a great upgrade. Everything seems soother fps in games are up. I almost waited for Zen 3, but this cpu has exceeded my expectations.

I prefer this to a 5 3600x

I was running an i5 4690k and running the software I needed for college, software development, and personal hobbies like simulation games had started to negatively affect those. The more complex my code got, learning game dev, the longer the compile time got. Also try running City Skylines on lower CPUs, compared to the newer intel/amd processors, it’s not that great. I saw an improvement with the 3700x and I wanted to be future proof in that my processor will grow with me. As long as AMD continues to support this, I’ll be a happy camper. Note for Android studio developers… AMD processors have some wonky support for this. Google claims they fixed it but I still had some issues. I got it up and running but it might take some tinkering

Works fast and great with 8 cores and 16 threads. Faster than my Intel 4770K 4 core CPU. Works great with my Aorus 570x ultra motherboard. Just update your motherboard firmware first from vendor website as AMD and vendor are always improving and upgrading drivers for CPU and Ram Memory. No complaints. Totally satisfied with AMD and also B&H has been awesome too with their service and delivery. Thank you AMD and B&H. 🙂

At standard clock speed this thing performs nearly as well as my 9900k@5ghz except at way lower temps and consuming way less power. Couldn’t be happier with this proc

Processor seems very fast. The cooler is large and has silly colored lights (not visible in my opaque case when I close it up). I think the cooler might be a little loud for my taste, although possible the fault could lie with one of the other fans in my rig.

I had to use a X570 mobo. New bios for B450 Tomahawk is a disaster

Phenomenal performance upgrading from an older i5

Couldn’t ask for more, the price was right and shipping was quick. Would definitely begin my future searches for my computer needs here at B&H before looking elsewhere.

AMD has ways been my go-to because of price… I have only ever built 1 Intel system and it was awesome but EXTREMELY expensive compared to my AMD builds…. It’s performance was decently better, but didn’t really justify the cost (IMHO). The release of RYZEN CPUs (all generations) have been spectacular. This CPU, in general, is phenomenal. I’m coming from a 6th gen i7 and the difference is night and day. I did OC a little bit, but went back to stock because F@H didn’t like it. I can run F@H on full, play COD:Warzone on one display and RDP into my work rig on the other (RX 5700xt) without a hiccup. AMD has really made a huge improvement and even with newer chipset drivers, I’ve seen greater performance. If you’re on a budget, you can’t go wrong with this guy… But…. The 10th gen it’s are phenomenal as well and, now, comparatively priced. I recommend this CPU for budget workstation/mid-ranged gaming rig since the boards are significantly cheaper than on the Intel platform. AMD still has a long way to go, but they’ve made a huge step in the right direction and finally have a competitive stance against Intel.

No bottleneckin’ here! After about a month of use, I haven’t seen and problems with this CPU. I use it somewhat intensively — gaming, 3D modeling, game design. I haven’t had any lagging or issues so far. All is well 🙂
