The RBC43 consists of eight sealed lead-acid batteries with cables and connectors that have a capacity of 12V and 5Ah. It arrives pre-charged and has an expected lifespan of 3-5 years. This unit is also plug and play and hot swappable, which in not only helps simplify installation, but also creates little to no network downtime during installation. Included are all required connectors, cables, fuses and metal enclosures, where applicable. This product is made in the USA.

I am trying to get batteries. Everything I read in the webpage is for batteries. The picture is for a battery cartridge that hold 4 batteries. I severely hate confusion and stupidity. If it is a battery then I should see RBC43 batteries itself.

These batteries worked out OK and a lot less expensive than the name brand. However, the three screw holes in the front of the tray did not line up correctly with either of the two UPS chassis I was installing them in. It was SO close but eventually one UPS ended up with only 2/3 screws, and the other UPS ended up cross-threading one screw because it went in at an angle. They worked fine other than this. I would give 3.5 stars if that was an option because of the screw-hole trouble. But, it’s not and I won’t give four because it was a pain trying to install them. I also couldn’t recommend them because there are so many others out there. They aren’t bad; They aren’t great either.

Second order got the correct battery. Order showed up but now return mailing for battery disposal. They brag about this when calling in on hold as to why purchase from APC but when you do they forget that part. I you want to dispose of the battery you must call an E-waste company or deliver yourself or you could make several phone calls and e-mails to APC and get the UPS return label. So if the deal is better somewhere else you might want to take it.

We’ve sold many of these over the years and can’t recall any complaints about the product quality. 3-4 years on these seem more than likely based on time between orders. Can’t imaging wanting to go with non-APC on something like this – whatever you pay is worth it for peace-of-mind in my book!
