Very expensive battery but with that said B&H had by far the cheapest price and shipping was very fast.

I have 2 APC SMX1500RM2Us for backup in my network cabinet. One of these is connected to 2 expansion units (2 batteries each for a total of 5 for that one UPS). The batteries are great for downtime and provide over 6 hours of power for my use situation, but the batteries need to be replaced every 2-3 years. I’ve found that they don’t last as long as other batteries. I hate how there is no warning which battery is going out in the expansion module. APC recommends that you replace ALL batteries within a module. One battery for one UPS, 5 for the other. APC should come up with a better way of identifying a defective battery.

Always stick with the APC OEM batteries for replacement. There are options for 3rd party & I’ve had issues trying all of them. Stick with the APC original batteries.
