The Replacement Battery Cartridge #124 from APC replaces the battery in your UPS that restores the performance to the original specifications. The battery cartridge is designed for UPS models BR1200G-FR, BR1200GI, BR1300G, BR1500G, BR1500G-FR, BR1500GI, BX1500G, SMC1000-2U, SMC1000I-2U. Since the UPS models are hot-swappable, no network downtime is required to install them. Moreover, the RBC battery provides a 3 to 5 year expected battery life. Included along with the battery are the required connectors.

Perfect replacement for my original batteries. My UPS was intermittently failing a self-test and although it passed most of the time, I decided to replace them after 3 years just in case. No-brainer replacement. I’ll be back in 3 years for another set. In the meantime I’m using the old batteries, still at least 90% good, in another application where a high current draw won’t be required.

Battery pack was what I needed, and delivered FAST. Thank you B+H! I’m only dinging 1 star due to APC. I only got 3.5yr out of the old pack that was delivered new directly from APC. APC told me that I would get my BR1500G UPS with brand new batteries, not ones that had been sitting on the shelf for a year or more, yet they didn’t last as long as cheap ones from Batteries+ (anywhere from 5 to 7 years). I live in an area with VERY good power, and power dips are usually under a second, when they happen. I sure hope this new #124 pack lasts over 4years! This battery pack that I got from B+H had an inspection form with it that said it was made and tested in less than 2months before I received it. Can’t complain about that! Note that it IS possible to tear this pack apart and use the parts, and some shipping tape, to build a new one out of a pair of SLA12-7F2 (note the F2) batteries, but it won’t save much money over the great B+H price.

This is a pretty easy replacement – simple snap the cover off the APC unit, and remove the old battery and slide in the new. Took a few seconds at most.
