Designed for electronics in your home or office, such as computers and related equipment, network devices (modem/router), POS devices, CCTV circuits, televisions, video game consoles, and more, the Battery Back-UPS Pro BX1500M from APC helps protect against surges, spikes, lightning, and outages. In the case of a power outage, it can provide up to 2.8 minutes of runtime at max load and 10.9 minutes at half load. It also provides an output capacity of 1500 VA / 900W, ten total NEMA 5-15R outlets (five battery backup & surge and five surge-only), an input voltage of 120 VAC at 60 Hz ± 3 Hz using its 6′ cord with a NEMA 5-15P plug, a surge energy rating of 789 joules, and 1Gb of dataline protection. Its sealed, lead-acid battery is maintenance-free and can be replaced using an APCRBC124 replacement battery.
For areas for inconsistent power grids, Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) helps provide stability against voltage fluctuations, overvoltages, and brownouts. This UPS has an integrated LCD display that shows information on the utility and system status, and PowerChute Personal Edition software can help track power quality, configure alarms, and shutdown your computer during an outage.
When compared to the previous generation of APC’s Back-UPS systems, this model features a more compact design with a smaller footprint, surge protection improvements, and improved 1Gb dataline protection. Also featured is a limited lifetime data-recovery warranty and a limited 3-year warranty for the APC unit.

Works like it’s supposed to work and these days , that’s saying something. Well worth the expense.

I have a tower PC and monitor hooked up, with a small router and phone, and the battery doesn’t even last 10 minutes from full, with the PC idling. It drains so quick I can literally watch the squares in the battery icon go away the minutes I watch. This should get me a good half an hour at least, but comes nowhere close. I’m going to look elsewhere for UPS during my next purchase, which will probably be soon since this one doesn’t seem to really work well.

it’s a pretty good product. Overall solid support – and I have 3 of these in my home. one for my home office and one for each home theater setup. I live in Florida – the lightning capital of the Western hemisphere, and these do a good job. But I’m unable to log into these these boxes, because there is not software written for Mac OS, which is completely unacceptable today

I purchased this battery backup because I worried about loosing data on my PC during a power outage but it also has other great features as well such as energy usage monitoring. I got it just in time too. After having it for a few days we experienced our first power outage of the winter and my PC kept running while the power came back on! I love it.

Easy set up with my Synology NAS, router, and modem. I have not had a chance to test it out yet. Waiting for the next power outage – which will come sooner or later.

I’ve had 2 of these for several years. Finally, after about 5 years, one of them started indicating a bad battery (maybe). I wasn’t 100% sure. The price of a new unit wasn’t significantly more than buying a new OEM battery so I bought the unit. It worked great. Then I decided to purchase a replacement battery and try it in the malfunctioning unit. I figured that if it didn’t fix the broken one, I could always use it in one of my other 2 units when one of their batteries died. But I installed it and the broken one worked again. Now I’m going to use the 3rd UPS to power my modem, router, and 2 network printers. I live in an area that has several power interruptions each year and these units have functioned perfectly whenever they occur.
