Protect up to 7 devices from power surges and spikes with the BE600M1 Back-UPS 600 VA UPS with Battery Backup from APC. This uninterruptible power supply features 7 AC outlets and a USB port to safely provide power to up to 8 devices. Audible alarms indicate changes in power, battery failure, wiring problems, and if a battery was disconnected in order to keep you informed. Additionally, there are LED indicators to quickly inform you of the status of the unit.

Pretty good unit for the price. I have the internet router and AP plugged in to these to keep them from resetting whenever the power flickers. It has handled its lite duty job reliably for three years with out any issue. The USB port is handy for topping off the phone when the power goes out too. The compact size makes it easy to tuck away in a TV console or media cabinet The APC BE600M1 is one of those items you never want to know about till you need it, and when you need it, it needs to work.

I suppose it does what it suppose to do as all other similar devices. It starts time to time to make noise, almost like PC fans do when device getting hot. I have quite a few of APC units and this is the first one that does that. Did some research and it seems it’s quite common issue for newer APC devices. I wonder why…

This UPS appears to do the job. There are ample outlets spaced to allow several plugs that have large shapes. The USB monitor output is recognized by a QNAP NAS.

Had to replace old Cyberlink Power Surge / Battery Back up… as that was nearly 11 years old. This APC is about 30 times smaller. The only down side I dislike is, not having the “Onboard” system Info like what Cyberlink has – I am not referring to software installed but rather on the APC device itself. The only reason why I obtained this is my previous experience of usage of APC in US/FED Government. It’s a pretty reliable device; never had issues with them for ages.

Shortly after initial use; the loud high-pitched, ear-damaging beeping is painful. Either it is a loud morse code beeping or a continuous sound. Horrible.

I got tired messing with batteries on my Verizon FiOS terminal in the closet. So I bought this, and it has seen me through a few outages this year–keeping the phones working. Short power interruptions with the terminal seem to be problematic as opposed to long interruptions–as the Verizon terminal doesn’t recover well from short outages, but for long outages, the terminal comes back up properly. This backup certainly solves the problem of short interruptions, and the cost was about the same as the old lead-acid battery Verizon once supplied, but now uses D-cells–what a joke! So the backup held up the terminal for an hour or so, but I haven’t tested it beyond that.
