This uninterruptible power supply features 7 AC outlets and a USB port to safely provide power to up to 8 devices. Audible alarms indicate changes in power, battery failure, wiring problems, and if a battery was disconnected in order to keep you informed. Additionally, there are LED indicators to quickly inform you of the status of the unit.

I reported this to their support department and this is the response I received, Also note, the shutting down of PC is no related to the UPS. Windows users are facing this with their OS even without using an UPS. I do not accept this as an answer as I never have this problem unless my computer loser power which is what this was supposed to prevent.

I’ve used APC back up power supplies in the past. Gotten away from it for awhile, mostly due to laziness. But then we had 3 power failures in one afternoon, so I realized it was time to get another back up supply. APC has always been great so I bought a BE600M1. No problems installing. Everything seemed straight forward. Now, however, after it being in for a couple of days, I do have a concern with it going into sleep mode in relatively short time. And this morning was a real issue as it went into sleep mode and when I tried to get it out, it immediately returned to sleep mode……..within 5 seconds. it’s a great product and I like the piece of mind that it gives me. But I’m now thinking of uninstalling the software and disconnecting the usb cable. As long as it continues to give power when the power goes out,it’ll do it’;s job. I just need enough time to walk into the room and turn the computer off manually. That’s the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. The software is too complicated and not user friendly.

Normally LOVE APC for their reliable UPS units, but this one is lackluster. [Use the 1080 and 1500 all the time at work.] I have two of these units, first one is still running, but this one was used twice and failed a battery check on the second use – waste of money to even try to replace it.

Excellent product if close outlet spacing is not a concern. It is ideal for a computer, monitor and attached peripherals. The USB connection is potentially convenient. The vertical design allows it to be placed behind a monitor as opposed to farther away such as on the floor. When placed behind a monitor, it is readily and easily accessible.

This keeps my cable modem, wifi router, and PoE switch running during brief power outages, keeping the cameras alive. It also helps to solve the quick power glitch issue where the power comes back on to quickly, potentially locking up the equipment. No issues, works as intended. Followed the instructions to permenently mute all alarms. The default setting will start beeping when the battery starts to run low after an outage.

I have been using this as a backup power unit on a media cart I use for machine programming and development. I move this around a lot and having both the surge protection and UPS available when connecting to different equipment, some which do not have a power supply available. I can gain extended time when necessary and know my laptop is protected.

Seems to work well, battery backup kicks in at power loss as intended. Did not need a driver in Windows 10, detected and shows the charge/UPS state by simply plugging it in. Unit can be a little awkward to place with top-mounted output plugs and side-mounted input power cord. Power light is quite bright. Includes a wiring fault indicator, which alerted me to an outlet issue.
