Protect up to 7 devices from power surges and spikes with the BE600M1 Back-UPS 600 VA UPS with Battery Backup from APC. This uninterruptible power supply features 7 AC outlets and a USB port to safely provide power to up to 8 devices. Audible alarms indicate changes in power, battery failure, wiring problems, and if a battery was disconnected in order to keep you informed. Additionally, there are LED indicators to quickly inform you of the status of the unit.

The BE600M1 model has the USB port for controlled shutdown of your computer or NAS that the smaller BN450M lacks. Only thing keeping it from 5-star is that I wish the BE600M1 had was a more common battery form factor such as used BE850M2 (very common replacement battery size). But I didn’t want to spend 50% more for the larger capacity UPS I don’t need. Initial testing of power outage battery mode works as intended and USB connection was plug and play with my NAS.

I use it to back up a mac mini, an Apple Time Capsule and Eizo monitor. Easy to install (hook up battery) and up and running in 10 minutes. I have had it only a week, but have tried cutting power to it several times and everything woks flawlessly. Nice and compact and not too heavy.

So Far, a great battery back. Have been fortunate that we haven’t had a power hiccup or outage to test it long term. (Not wishing us bad either.). Purchase two APC BE600M1 units. Love the spacing of the outlets. Allowed for many of the wider plug-in devices to be added to the APC unit.

Battery changed from 10% to 100% in about 6hours. It keep 30w load running for about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Would recommend using the USB for monitoring and setting your graceful shutdown for 25 minding the lifetime of this battery is 3-5 years.
