I have not yet unpacked this APC unit. However I have used APC back up units very successfully over the past 20+ years so I have every reason to believe this unit will perform perfectly over its 5+ year life expectancy. Based on experience I highly recommend APC back up units.

Just enough protection and runtime to power off your machine…without breaking the bank.

This is a nice little UPS. It’s solidly built, quiet and lightweight. I tested it with a Dell OptiPlex 3020 SFF personal computer and a Dell 24″ monitor. It lasted 41 minutes and 38 seconds on a fully charged battery. I would definitely recommend it.

I have a cable box and cable modem that requires less than 30 watts to run. If the power goes out, this little baby will keep them alive for over 2 hours. Won’t lose any recordings that are active during any power outage.

I received the product ontime from B&H and it works as a decent surge protector but an indicator light says the battery is defective. I would not by this product again.

I use this to backup my router. The thought was to keep the internet running when and if the power fails (Kids home schooling and all). Sadly this happened and the fiber optic company has poor batteries running that side of the feed. Stayed on for about 10 minutes and we lost our internet anyway. But that’s not the fault of this unit. It worked like a champ!

Received this UPS free as a product sample. It replaced a large and heavy APC UPS used for my smart TV, DVR and DVD player. A few features that are important to me, as an off-grid homeowner – are the Sensitivity Mode and the adaption to Power Cycling. The latter will likely happen when my backup generator comes on when the solar system (due to days of foul weather) can’t provide the household electricity. Haven’t had a power failure since setting up this UPS. But I am confident that it will do the job when called upon.

Ive been using these APC Back-UPS systems for a long time now, and I needed another one. I really like that this model is compact and fits well in small spaces. One problem with mine was that it wasnt assembled properly. When I plugged something into one of the two surge-only outlets, that outlet fell into the unit. Thankfully there was no damage. I disconnected power and battery and took it apart, and I found that one of the two screws that secures the surge outlets had not been screwed in. This caused the unsecured side of the bracket to come loose and the cause the outlet to fall inside. I screwed it in properly, and now everything works. I do like that it doesnt use the special cable the older APC Back-UPS units used. It uses a standard USB cable instead. I dont really find the USB port that useful. It does not provide very clean power (output is somewhat noisy). I can get better results with a regular charger.

There’s not a lot to say about these UPS systems: they come with a battery, you plug them in, and they just kind of work. If they don’t, you return them. Anyway: the plug spacing is good, and it works.

One of those things you hope you never need but are really glad you have when you do need it because the power flickered or surged or went out before you had last saved anything you were working on. I had one APC unit go bad one time after nearly a year, but still within the warranty period, and they replaced it for free and for free shipping of the new one and free shipping of the return of the old one, with no question after they told me over the phone how to reset and that did not solve the problem. Plus I always buy from B&H when I can, because they have been good to me for the past 30 years or so.

I bought the APC Back-UPS BN450M for my Cable Modem, main Eero router, Ooma, and 8-port switch. It is small and light but has more than enough outlets for this use. It will mostly help with short brownouts, but has enough power to keep these items running for quite a long time. I am very happy with this purchase
