The Power-Saving Back-UPS Pro 1500 International Version (230V) from APC provides power to your important computer components in the event of an electrical outage. The Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) contains a battery which continues to power computers, monitors and other components if the electricity is cut from them. An LCD status display provides information including remaining battery life, load capacity, and event notices. The battery is hot-swappable and easy to replace. An audible alarm alerts you of events like power outage and low battery.

My older APC 1500 was changed out 2 times and is still in warranty. Regrettably I decide to purchased a second unit hoping APC would not give me problems. Well guess what it did arrive with problems. At load of 400 watts the fan runs with loud fan noise. My older APC 1500 fan only comes on when the power company power is out. I feel APC has problems and poor quality.

The unit seems to be working fine, but won’t really know until the next power outage. The weak spot is the user manual which, like many these days, is intended to cover this and other battery back-up units. So the instructions and pictures do not exactly match up with the unit I purchased. You have to do some guess work to get the thing up and running. But once you get there it seems okay.

When my 6-7 year old unit went ‘POW’ one day (literally!) I started looking for its replacement immediately. B&H is always my first choice. The internet has largely replaced driving around and shopping and it quickly showed me a better product for my needs wasn’t available. There is *nothing* that isn’t great about it with features (digital) to keep track of power supplied and its usage. Amazing! Thanks B&H..!!

Only had this for a little over a week but I have to say it is excellent. Plenty of outlets. Looks good. I use it to protect my hifi components from power surges and the battery back up let’s me shut down my components safely if there is a power surge. Highly recommend.

Unlike earlier APC PS units — battery activation is easy, just flip it over. Be aware that all UPS units offer EXTREMELY OPTIMISTIC estimates of runtime in case of an outage. This model is no exception. Good rule of thumb is that under minimal load your UPS will allow about 30-50% of the stated value. Once you are aware of that, the unit offers decent backup coverage, a quality build, with full LCD display of ket metrics (load, runtime, in/out voltage etc), at a very affordable price. It is adequate of most purposes and a required component for any serious computer user.

I have never had a problem with APC products other than after 3 or 4 years the back up battery does not hold a charge requiring a replacement. I would recommend this product to anyone. I loved the rapid replacement service from B&H, they had the shipment ready the same day as ordered and delivered within 4 days.
