The APC Replacement Battery Cartridge #2 is easy to order. Delivery is quick. Connection wire is too short so it is not easy to put back in. I have yet to see this battery make it to 3 years like it says. I wish there was a way to prolong the battery life.

The order processing and delivery of the RBC2 were great. But there the positives end. After giving the APC and new battery time to charge itself, the beeping on the APC has not stopped. My entire battery back-up system is unuseable beause of the noise. I must add that I have had no problems with previous purchases. Now my business data integrity is compromised because of this problem. I am not happy.

Specs say “Expected Battery Life (years) 3 – 5″… my last two RBC2 only lasted 18 & 14 months respectively. Noticed warranty is only 12 months. Guess the warrantly people know more about this battery than the marketing/spec people do.

I had an APC battery go bad after years of use in my home office. The web site and the ordering process for the correct replacement battery could not have been easier. Make sure you fill out the return label form on their site so that a UPS return authorization label will be sent with the old battery for easy disposal.

The new battery fits perfectly and seems to work perfectly. My only complaint is that the instructions for recycling the old battery were essentially worthless, consisting of a suggested website for finding recycling locations. In the past I believe I shipped the spent battery back postpaid.

I needed to replace the batteries in several 10 year old Back Ups units. The service life and cost for 10 years is very good. The shipping and return effort was made very easy by the company, so I highly recommend odering on line for replacement batteries as opposed to a new unit. I think it is excellent of the company to continue support and supplies for the older product. My older units are back in service and running fine.

The battery replacement goes smoothly, except the pull tab can sometimes tear off making the old battery difficult to remove. Had to us a regular screwdriver to pull it out sufficiently to grab it and extricate it from the housing. Battery only lasted 2-1/2 years without much use so I am suspicious of the longevity of 3-5 years life expectancy.

I bought my ups serveral years ago, (a back-up CS 350) and have not had any problem with it at all. It performs exactly as it’s supposed to, filtering out electrial spikes and providing temporary power. ( I live in an area where we have major thunder storms and power outages every winter) All I have to do is replace the battery every few years,(about 2-3 yrs) which is prety easy. It is completly sealed, so there is no problem with spilling acid.

My experience has been similar: after my latest replacement of two of these batteries, one failed at 20 months and the other at 21 months. These were APC -branded replacements, not some other vendor.
