I like everything about this filter except two things. #1. After I screwed the filter onto the head I noticed how easily the filter could be unscrewed. You need to pay close attention to make sure it’s set in the correct possession so you don’t end up flooding the area when you turn on the water supply. I put packing tape on the seam where the filter meets the head just to keep it from accidently moving. I’m not sure if the filter is more difficult to move under pressure; I didn’t want to try that test I’m sure you understand why. (SEE PHOTO)#2. This filter is a High Flow or Hight Capacity filter and made to filter your kitchen sink faucet water. You can also hook it up to a Single-Handle Cold Water Dispenser. But the problem is the Single-Handle Cold Water Dispense uses a 1/4 in. FIP and not the 3/8 in. compression fitting that comes with this filter system. I had to buy an adapter to make this fit my 1/4 in. Single-Handle Cold Water Dispenser (3/8-in x 1/4-in dia Threaded Male Adapter)Note: I also use the supply shut off valve to slow the flow at the faucet. Other than these issues I would have given this filter system 5 stars. I do recommend this filter system the water is great! .

For nearly 2 decades, our kitchen faucet had one of those water filters which attach to its spout. It was satisfactory, the flow was slow, its size was always in the way, and it required replacement every 2-3 months. It served us well. But, after replacing the kitchen sink’s faucet, I did not feel like continuing use of that item. And, something better had to be in my plans.This APEC is a huge step into the future for us. It’s a much better flow rate. It’s hidden under the sink, and therefore makes our new faucet shine. It will go longer periods of time between filter replacements, and it was an easy install. Instructions with pictorial assist made the installation job easier than anticipated. Having 3/8 inch faucet connections included by the manufacturer minimized my purchase dollars. The only other thing I needed was my own pipe thread tape. Easy peasy. Within 5-6 minutes, the included filter cartridge was pouring clear, good-tasting water into my glass. Now, 2 weeks later, it’s still performing well beyond my expectations. I feel a sense of confidence in deciding on this water filtration system. I am glad that HD had enough information and reviews to guarantee me that I made a good choice.I should have made this decision a long time ago instead of 2 weeks ago. I really think that it will turn out to be a fine product.

Easy to install, took less than 5 minutes. Assembly more sturdy than filters with quick connection fittings. Removed Chlorine taste immediately without reduced flow rate.

Product was easy to install following directions provided. Water quality prior to installing was very bad with a cloudy appearance and strong chlorine smell. Filtered water is clear with no smell. For the first time in years we can drink water right out of the tap. Have had it installed about two weeks and have absolutely no complaints. Our water quality is so bad I am curious to see how long a filter will last before needing to be replaced?
