APEC Water Systems Ultimate high capacity pre-filter set is made with high quality filtration components to protect and prolong the lifespan of your reverse osmosis system. Premium quality filter set lasts over 12 months for fewer filter change outs and high performance contaminant removal. These standard size filters are 10 in. and compatible with all standard size under counter RO systems. 1st Stage: High-Grade 10 in. high-capacity polypropylene sediment filter -removes dust, particles, and rust. 100% pure polypropylene depth filter with exceptional dirt-holding capacity translates to longer life and fewer change-outs than existing string-wound or resin-bonded filters. 2nd and 3rd Stage: Premium Extruded Carbon Block 10 in. – gets rid of unpleasant chlorine, tastes, odors, cloudiness and colors. Also removes VOCs and other common chemicals from the water. APEC Water Systems extruded carbon block filters consist of activated carbon particles fused into a uniform block with enhanced adsorptive capacity and efficiency. Unlike granular activated carbon (GAC) filters, these extruded carbon block cartridges will not channel or bypass due to the extreme uniformity of their extruded activated carbon core. 6th stage 10 in. I have been using the Apec Ultimate 90 and it’s predecessor for years. I first purchased the system for my tropical fish who needed pure water. My fish were very happy and so was I as I loved the taste of such fresh water. Moving to my new home I upgraded to the ultimate 90 GPD. This model has a filter which allows for demineralization of the purified water. Now I am not only drinking pure water but it has more alkalinity and minerals it. It is a win win!! Finally after 2-previous RO systems, I purchased the APEC RO-Perm system on 1/3/2018. I installed it in the basement using a 14-gallon storage tank. It is suppling 2-refrigerators and 2-sink faucets on the first floor. What a difference! The filters have been installed for a month or so. I use the TDS Mini from Aped to check my RO water from the dispensing faucet. My TDS number is 131 or so after multiple tests and since install. This seems high, unless I am reading the meter wrong or something.

Having installed the 90 PH ROS about a year ago to address a kidney issue, the suggested time frame to change filters. The initial system install went well using the APEC tutorials. The filter change went easy as well. Simple easy drinking water! As I mentioned previously the RO system was suggested to provide water free of chlorine and other harmful effects.
