This high-quality icemaker kit will provide you with clear and sparkling ice cubes and drinking water at your refrigerator by routing purified water from your existing reverse osmosis drinking water system. You will never have to spend money on small, ineffective and expensive refrigerator filters ever again. This icemaker kit includes everything you will need to quickly and easily connect your refrigerator and reverse osmosis system. It includes 1 JG quick-connect “Tee” fitting, 1 JG quick-connect shut off ball valve and 20 ft. of JG 1/4 in. food-grade poly tubing. The “Tee” fitting diverts the RO purified water between the fridge and RO faucet giving access to both outlets. The ball valve can be used to shut off water flow to the fridge.

Nothing wrong with this kit. However, it did not have the appropriate size connector for my refrigerator’s water line. So I had to return it. Know your connection hose size before purchasing.

The water pressure out of the RO system is less than your normal water pressure without it. If you have a long run to your refrigerator, you may want to consider a 3/8 in. line and valving instead of this 1/4 in. size. This will reduce pressure loss in the line significantly, resulting in higher water flow. Also, if your fridge has a filter, remove it since you don’t need it any more. This also improves water flow. Otherwise, the kit was complete and the instructions were clear.

This is a good kit to purchase for everything you need. Unfortunately I didn’t realize I had 3/8″ tube on my reverse osmosis system which required another trip a hardware store and it wasn’t real cost effective at that point. Normally it would be cost effective and a good buy for someone that wants to take the guesswork out of the installation.
