The O-ring-set contains 3 pieces of 3.5 in. O.D. standard industry size O-ring use to prevent leaks when customer need to change 3 pre-filter of 10 in. standard under sink reverse osmosis system. Recommend to change all O-Rings once open the housing. Lubricate with clean lubricant and place in grooves below thread to prevent water leaks.

These rings – along with three replacement filters and the food grade lubricant – were recommended as part of an annual replacement of three of the 5 filters used in the system. Our system is just over 1 year old and the original seals showed no signs of leakage or of any weak/thin/worn areas. Save yourself the headache of having a leak by using the old gasket. If the old gasket black-stains your gloves or skin, it must be replaced. Apply food grade silicone grease on the gasket at installation.

when replacing the water filter cartridges, it’s a good idea to replace the o-rings that seal the housings. The o-rings become compressed over time and can fail if neglected.
