I just bought my second one of these, and the new one is as flawless as the old. I like the convenience of taking the countertop unit with me when I travel, and the ability to filter water in a rental where I’m not willing to install a standard filter system. I broke a UV filter housing last year, and it was a snap getting another from apec. Try getting replacement parts from most any other filter manufacturer! I’ve used under counter units, designed filtration systems with the help if apec’s customer service techs – I’ll never buy from anyone else.

I had for many years the Omnipure RO-CTOP reverse osmosis for many years, I did have about 3 spares RO Membranes. I did look for a new Membrane at Omnipure maker few times but never answered my emails. So, I started looking for one alike, or a better one. I believe in good luck! I got you. Reverse Osmosis is the most effective remover of hard parts in drinking water, or the TDS. More safety to absorb the water, just water, no dangerous or unknown slow affective counter good health invaders, over increased PPM’s. Maybe I will oder extras CT-1 SED and CT-24CAB, I let you know. The product is fairly easy to install and comes with a couple faucet adapters to make the installation easier. Wish the filtration was a bit better and maybe they can add a fluoride/chlorine filter, then I’d give it 5 stars.

the setup was a breeze, screw it onto the faucet ,after you remove the aireator and they even send a spare adapter that you might need to convert your nozzle to fit the RO fitting, and just run the filter for 10-15 min to purge the unit, and then just fill your spare bottles , depending on your water pressure , it took my first 1gl jug to be filled was about 20min, and I checked the “TDS” from my city water and it registered “381” tds, and then i chcked the RO water, it reads 14, WOW.! what a drop, and it tastes exactly the same as the BIG RO system at work, and crystal clear and almost has a “sweet” taste to it, and makes my ice cubes almost see through, I also needed a RO system that was small, due to a very small under sink cabinet space , and I needed RO water for my “Lacto-Fermentation Pro biotic . you can use water that contains Chlorine, or Fluoride, cause it kills the good bugs in your Kimchi and sauerkraut….Love this unit, I fill 2-3 jugs, and then just put the unit to the side out of the way, or on the top of the Fridg, until I need it again…….Sweet unit , and will pay for it self after 200 gal of water…

I had it yesterday and It works great! I am very picky. if water taste was not good, I would definitely return it but I like the taste. I would highly recommend it, if you are tired of carrying 5 gallon bottle.

I have been using this product for about two weeks now. It works pretty well. You can definitely taste the difference. The water that comes from this system is very soft and no funny taste any more. It’s a portable system which can be easily installed. I think the only downside is you will see a lot of wasted water coming from one outlet line while it’s producing pure water. But I understand almost all water filtration system work in the same way. Overall, it’s a must have for each family and it serves its purpose. I already recommend this system to my friends.

This is and does exactly what is says. It is a countertop, portable reverse osmosis filtration system. Makes a gallon in about 17 minutes.Note: It produces excess runoff that is also fairly high quality water itself. They might consider adding some kind of recapture mechanism for the runoff. I have been manually recapturing it for use in my garden.

I bought the portable RO on account that I travel and am pretty active, and was tired of bottled water routine. Its nice having consistently good tasting impurity free water. It even tastes better than almost all bottled water at you local convenience store. By having the RO unit, I don’t have to worry about BPAs, bad tasting house brand water, over advertised pricey water, and price gouging at events. Instead I store the filtered water in glass bottles in the fridge and refillmy reusable containers / bladders when I go out.

Very simple set up, water looks very clean and taste good. I measured the waste water after filling a two and half gallon container of filtered water and waste water measured 6 gallons. It took one hour total.
