I purchased the Green Carbon 10 whole house filter alsong with a RO-HI reverse osmosis system for our new house. Our water enters into the house from the garage so I installed it there. There was an existing 10″ sediment filter which I had planned on removing but at the last minute I decided to keep it and use it too as a pre-filter to my APEC systemm. Since, in my case, installation involved disconnecting and re-plumbing the water heater, I decided to just replace it, too, as it was about 10 years old. All these changes presented quite a bit of plumbing work but everything went together fairly easily with no problems. Installation of the filters themselves was very easy. My system has been in use for about two months now and I could not be happier. Our water had a strong metallic taste and some of our fixtures were staining. Now, with the RO-HI and the green carbon 10, we have near perfect water that tastes better than any bottled water. It’s too early to tell if the staining problem is gone but the water is definitely better. We drew samples of unfiltered water, water fitered by the green carbon 10 with its prefilters and from the reverse osmosis system. The unfiltered water tastes really bad. The whole house filtered water still has a slight taste and the RO water is near perfect. I also installed pressure gauges on my system at the inlet and at the output of the Green Carbon 10. I was very pleased that after passing through the Carbon 10 and two cartridge filters, I was only seeing about a 3-4psi loss of pressure. I am very please with all the APEC products and I would highly recommend them to anyone. An added plus for me is that they are made in the US.

Purchased this 2 weeks ago. After working decades in different laboratories, this system is a real simple, but quality product. It was a breeze to assemble, the instructions were spot on and easy to follow. With both faucet and refrigerator connected it’s convenient to fill large pots or grab cold water from refrigerator. Water tastes great, although anything is an improvement to FL water.

I had previously bought the ROES-50 for my old house, it was easy to install. Now after we moved, there was no RO system in the new house. This time I bought the RO-Hi system. Very similar to the first one, but gives you a higher flow. It was very easy to install under the sink. Water tastes well and now we don’t have to buy expensive water bottles anymore.

Clear instructions. Great diagrams and pictures that make it easy to follow. After discarding the first tank, the water was still a little cloudy. It did clear up after another gallon was used. The taste is pretty good. It’s a lot better than what was coming straight out of the faucet. I will definitely recommend this product.

Satisfied with the quality of water. My TDS Meter stick reads 212 and varies while testing my homes regular tap water. After water runs through the filtration system, it reads 23 so definitely doing something right. As far as eliminating other unwanted elements in the water, I cannot say with certainty. Overall this product is pretty good and I’d recommend if one was looking for a water filtration system.

After weeks of research, I purchased and installed this RO system. Read the installation instructions and watch a few installation videos before installing this system. My installation was smooth and leak free. Arizona water is quite hard (350+ ppm) and this system was installed in my new house to treat unsoftened tap water. The finished product is quite palatable and tastes like bottled water. TDS dropped from 408ppm to 12ppm. I am very pleased with the quality of the system, the ease of installation and the taste the finished product.

I did a lot of research online before making the decision to purchase the APEC Water Systems RO-HI system. In addition, I called APEC customer service, as I was debating between two different systems. Their customer service on the telephone is outstanding. The reasons that I purchased the RO-HI system is that it had really good flow (very helpful when filling pitchers of water), the build quality (this is a solid product), the quality of the faucet, and the price of the filters. As you are compare models online, be sure to look at the “total cost of ownership”. Cheaper RO systems require filter changes every six months. Not the APEC RO-HI – you only need to change the pre-filters once per year. The filters are also made in America – that is a plus. Installation was pretty straightforward – I took my time and had it installed under my kitchen sink in about three hours – that included drilling a hole in my granite counter top for the faucet.

Solid system. Great tank capacity and the water pressure to the faucet is excellent. Would highly recommend this system. With basic plumbing knowledge, installation was easy.

I bought this system to replace an existing RO System. Installation was very simple, allready had existing lines. Even though it may have only added a litlle more time to install from scratch. My old system needed the filters replaced, we had very little pressure. I called the company that installed imy old system and they wanted $450 to replace filters and flush tank. It was about 15 years old. I decided to buy this system instead. The filter replacements were pretty affordable. The only problems I had during installation was the cartride enclosures need to be super tight to avoid leaks. Also the filters that sit on top of the unit, need to be placed properly, otherwise they will leak. After install I did a water test. We have really hard water. The regular water tested out at around 900 ppm. After the install I tested the water from the filter system it was around 60 ppm. Which is a huge adjustment. If i can get a year out of the filter set off about $100 replacement cost, I will be happy! I was paying $150-$250 depending on replacing carbon filter when I replaced themmyself on my old system. FYI I did check a bottle of water i bought at store it was 2 ppm vs the 60 I am getting from the new system. I am happy with that, especially considering how hard our water is and the convenience. I really cannot tell the difference in the bottled water and the filter system. 900 ppm to 60 ppm is a huge difference! Time will tell, and I will adjust my rating as time goes, and I continue go test the water qualify. As for now, I am happy with the system.

Very easy installation under kitchen sink, with no need to mount filters with screws. I had to shorten the cold water plastic tube to the faucet with a small tubing cutterso the water adapters would fit, would have been easier with a flexible connector to faucet..All water connections were easy with no leaks !! After two complete flushingsthe water was ready to use. A fast fill-up from the filter faucet to get the water. We are very pleased with this water filter.
