The quality of this unit exceeds my expectations. The three pre-filters need to be replaced once a year using APEC branded filter. The inline filter needs to be replaced every 3-5 years. The TDS reading was 561 and now is 32.

Easy to install except for one thing . The permeate pump attaches to the bracket increases the vertical dimension of the filter unit. In my case it would not fit under my sink. I removed the bracket and fastened the pump to the membrane casing using a zip tie and that solved the issue. Yes this does make some noise. This is especially true on startup where one is supposed to run 2 full tanks of generated water to prime the system. I called APEC to see if I could disconnect the pump and replumb. They were very helpful and said that could be done if I purchase their ASO valve ( ~$15). The pump act as the ASO valve. I do have very hard water 18gPg and after the 2 tank primer I was getting a 2gPg reading. A little concerning as previous RO units produced a zero reading. Hopefully that will disappear. I plan to do an salt based water softener so that should zero out that reading hopefully.

Installed 2 weeks ago. Just received my water test results back from the lab(Tapscore). They graded my water at 97% Excellent. Here are some numbers. My TDS went from 883 to 48. My very high lead levels are now undetectable. Nitrates undetectable, Uranium was high and now undetectable. Everything that was bad in our well water is now gone. I installed a dual tank whole house softener prior to this install and grains went from 22 to 1.5. Install for both systems was a breeze. Had to reach out to support team as I added a UV and the remineralization filter to the permeate set up. wanted to make sure I plumbed correctly. I also added the Ice-maker kit… yes, automatic ICE cubes again. Watch out for TDS creep. Basically if you only pull a cup every few hours the TDS can creep up. Mine can range from 45-65. Basically I purge a gallon every few days and it keeps the TDS low. no biggie. I researched for weeks and Im so glad I found these guys.

Excellent product. Very easy to install as a replacement for a 17 year old RO system which was still working OK, but providing a marginal amount of water. We are getting consistent TDS readings which are less than 10%. The permeate pump is providing much more water than the old system. System now has enough pressure to supply refrigerator ice maker. Another big positive — the replacement filters are much less expensive than our old system. So far, so good.

I’ve been using it for about a month now. The pump makes the waste water minimal and less time to refill the tank.It takes about one hour to fill a full tank. My estimation is about 3 gallons of waste water for every 1 gallon of filtered water. The installation was fairly easy. I did it myself with no problem. My tap water TDS reading is about 250, and the filtered water is below 20. The waste water TDS reading is above 300. I am very happy with the results. The only problem I had was after not using it for a few days, the TDS reading of filtered water increased to about 70. I solved the problem by empty the tank of “old water” and refill it with freshly made “newer water”.

I wanted an RO system that would not only provide superior drinking water, but would function properly on a city water system that delivers medium water pressure (40 psi). The APEC RO-PERM system is a proven winner at my house! We are very pleased with the performance of this unit. I found installing this unit was very simple and straightforward. The directions were easy to follow and even used color coded lines to help with the set up. Even the most novice person would have no problems doing the installation.Our system is mounted in the basement’s utility room, rather than under the kitchen sink. I mounted the unit on a single board for easy attachments to the wall, using a couple of shelf brackets to support the tank shelf. I purchased a compression-type master valve (no soldering) for connection to the soft water line. A single line runs from the RO system that feeds the refrigerator’s ice maker, and a kitchen drinking faucet. We have clean, clear ice, and great tasting water. And, even though the faucet is located 30 ft. from the unit, we have excellent pressure at the faucet. We also plan on hooking up a feeder line to our furnace humidifier. Once again, the APEC RO-PERM performs as advertised!

I purchased this system about four years ago. I have not had a problem with it. No leaks so far but the permeate pump is noisy when working. The water tastes absolutely tasteless the way water should! Also, the water is so clean that it will keep my coffee maker and ice maker clean. We don’t have to buy any bottle water anymore and I feel healthier when drinking water.Btw, the RO Perm offers a very nice water pressure with no electrical requirements.

I purchased your RO Perm unit over a year ago to make drinking water from a well here in Baja Mexico. I can’t tell you how happy I am with the unit. With the local water plant not working our little system has taken care of us as well as a couple of our friends. I use 4 pre filters (50, 20, 5 and 1 micron) to filter the well water before it even gets to my unit, the well water is around 1900 PPM and when complete our water is 180/210 PPM and taste great. Because water is hard to come by down here, we return the brine water to the reservoir tank to be filtered again if needed. We are unique in that the electricity for the pump is furnished by my solar system. I have had several people from our camp look at my system and I always give them your company name. Over the last 10 years I have used other products none of which can hold a candle to yours. Love the USA products.
