After researching, I purchased the APEC Ultimate RO-PH90 6 stage system online and picked it up at my Home Depot store a few days later. I replaced an older RO system with the APEC RO-PH90, because I wanted a 6 stage water filtration system for our well water. We do use a whole house sediment filter and a water softener, but for drinking water you can’t beat RO. It is also important to have a system that has easy to find filters, parts and customer help any time it’s needed. The installation isn’t rocket science and as a technically adept female I was able to remove our old unit and install the APEC in about 2 hours. I did need to buy one quick connect fitting to hook up to our ice maker that is using a 3/8″ line. I do love those quick connect fittings, they make everything so easy. The instructions are very clear, but be sure to print out the Ultimate RO PH90 Installation Addendum and PH Plus Filter Replacement Guide from the Home Depot website, you will need it to figure out where to insert your line to the faucet and to the tank! We love our new APEC RO system.

Installed this RO filter system to replace a simple insinkerator filter that feeds a hot/cold sink mounted faucet. While I was at it, I connected the same filter line to the fridge ice/water. System works great improving water quality to both systems. I removed one start as the flow isn’t what it was before. It’s adequate enough to run both systems, just takes a little longer to fill cups. I suspect it’s due to the ¼” lines used on the RO filter system feeding ⅜” lines to hot water tank and fridge. I’ve been told by a friend that uses the same system, that there is an option to upgrade some of the lines to ⅜” to improve the flow but it was not offered when I purchased this from Home Depot. I’ve sent an email to APEC support and will see if there are any options to improve flow. I will return to update review if/when they respond.

We have a softening system to remove high iron from our private well water and the water was still undrinkable. After installing this APEC water system our water is perfect. What a difference it made! It was super easy to install. Any DIY’er will have no problem with the install. I only wished I had purchased the model with the pump included. After filling a couple gallon containers the water pressure from the filter system does noticeably slow down.Overall, its a filter great system and I highly recommend!

I found the instructions easy to follow, and the install fast and simple. It seems to work well on our well supplied water system, even though our well pressure is less than typical city supplied water pressure.I haven’t had it in place long enough to have a well informed opinion on how it is serving our family over time, but I can say the water does taste slightly better in a side by side taste test with pulled from the tap v. the RO system. Due to our water coming from a well, we also have a fine particulate and carbon filter, a UV treatment, and a high quality water softener. Our water is great overall, and the RO is due to what the neighboring land use may have put into the water table.

purchased on-line and had delivered in late July 2019. Starting off by rating a 4-star in August 2019. So far the quality of the water has been very good. I live in Mesa, Arizona and got tired of getting bottled water so installed this unit myself. I’m fairly okay with installation of things like this if I do it slowly. The directions on this were good and simple. It took about a full day for me to install this and I did relatively well on the installation. I watched a few Youtube videos to make double sure on how things were connected up so that was a big help. I have a composite countertop that looks like marble so drilling through that was easy and the hookup underneath went just fine. The dispenser hardware looks impressive and matches nicely with the kitchen faucet. The tank size is impressive and fills up with no problem it seems. So far so good on everything with this. I haven’t had this installed long enough to have experienced anything negative on it yet. I was impressed by the fact that I could indeed do this on my own and didn’t have to call in a plumber person for this. I now have to wait a year to replace the three filters so don’t know how much of a hassle that will or will not be. Very impressive product and would highly recommend.

This filter is amazing! With City Water having several different chemicals in it to kill bacteria, this removes those chemicals to allow your water to taste fresh. We had this professionally installed since another faucet had to be drilled into our granite countertops. I recently purchased and installed an APEC RO-PH90 reverse osmosis drinking water system to replace my old system that had failed. The Home Depot website provided plenty of information about the different systems they have available to help me decide which system to buy, and the online purchase was easy to make. The product was shipped to my local store where I picked it up.The instructions and documentation that came with the unit were detailed, clear and complete, but I did have a few questions about my specific situation, so I called APEC Support. The technician I spoke with knew the product well and was able to answer my questions very quickly, even offering a couple of helpful suggestions.The installation went very smoothly and actually much easier than I expected. It took me about 2.5 hours including connecting it to my refrigerator. I checked frequently for leaks for the next day or so and found none at all, which was a pleasant surprise considering my lack of experience with plumbing!It has been in place for almost 2 weeks now and still no leaks. I am very satisfied with every aspect of of this product.

We were researching a water filtration system for our home drinking water and could not be happier with the APEC system we purchased. It can be a costly one time purchase along with a professional installation however the result was worth it. I do recommend making sure there is enough room under or near your kitchen sink to accommodate the system and the tank. We were able to remove shelving to the adjacent cabinet under the sink and it fit perfectly. The faucet provided is also high quality and looks great in the kitchen. We have been using it for two weeks and have been extremely pleased from day one.

We bought this and installed it in less than two hours. It was so easy and we are not handy people. It came with everything you could ever need to install it on your own; even the plumbers tape. Ordering it directly from the company was more price competitive and gave us the option to get a spout to match our current bronze hardware. It looks nice and tastes so good!
