But, if your water source is known to be unsafe with microorganisms and you want to have extra protection, then you can add an UV as an additional stage to disinfect water. When I received the UV sterilizer unit , I saw that there is no exterior light to see if the bulb is working. It’s inconvenient to take out the bulb and look to see if it’s on. The unit that this will replace had a visual outside feature. Why did they remove it.

I purchased a replacement stainless UV filter kit to replace the factory part that came with my water cooler. I had already purchased a replacement part two years ago from the water cooler manufacturer. That plastic UV light holder replacement broke spontaneously just the like the original. The APEC part is of a much higher quality and I am confident it will last as long as the water cooler. I needed the part rushed and your order fulfillment folks (sorry I cannot recall the fellows name) took the order at 5pm and got the part to us before noon the next day. The part installed in two minutes and we had potable water again. Thank you. My next purchase of any water purification equipment will be from you.

The item arrived with a leaking valve and I needed to fix it with some extra teflon tape. I placed the UV filter to the fifth stage in my RO-90 system but both the faucet and the water became warm the next morning. After doing some research, I moved the UV filter between the water source and the very first filter. Neither the faucet nor the water is warm anymore but the water temperature is still a bit higher than before.The UV filter came with a manual and all the accessories.The installation was not difficult.
