The APEC Water Systems WFS-1000 3-Stage Water Filtration System delivers clean filtered water at an affordable price. This complete 3-stage water filter system is made from high caliber components to offer long-lasting, reliable performance, while removing chemical, taste and odors. The 3 premium quality filters lasts over 12 months for fewer filter change outs and high performance. The system provides a continuous on demand supply of quality filtered water directly to the provided water dispenser.
- Premium long-lasting filter used to treat tap water, well water; provide unlimited refreshing water
- Super capacity filters guarantee to remove chemicals (i.e. chlorine), taste and odors. NOT designed for TDS removal
- System comes with 100% lead-free chrome faucet, FDA certified JG food grade tubing
- 1st stage: high-grade 10 in. high-capacity polypropylene sediment filter – removes dust, particles and rust; 100% pure polypropylene depth filter with exceptional dirt-holding capacity translates to longer life and fewer change-outs than existing string-wound or resin-bonded filters
- 2nd stage: premium extruded carbon block 10 in. – gets rid of unpleasant chlorine, tastes, odors, cloudiness and colors; also removes VOCs and other common chemicals from the water

They included everything I needed to connect to my 1/2″ water supply. They even included parts for a 3/8″ water supply. That is the only reason I’m giving them 3* and not 1*. I bought it to make my sink water taste better so I can stop filling up the 5 gallons of water. This did not increase the taste. I tried it for a few weeks and returned it. Now does it improve the quality of the water by removing contaminants? I’m not sure, and I have no means to test that. The water was extremely cloudy, but that did clear up by partially closing the line and waiting a few weeks.

This three stage filtration system is nicely designed and the installation is straightforward. However, the city water that I receive required more thorough filtration and I had to install the RO-90 reverse osmosis system to produce the quality I required. This three stage filtration system seemed quite effective while wasting less water than the RO alternative. If your water filtration requirements can be met without resorting to an RO system your water requirements will be significantly less.

Bought this mainly because it is US made. We installed this about a month ago. First the water looked very cloudy and it turned out that it’s supposed to be bubbles from the 3 stage filtration. It still has not gone away. Then there’s the bitter aftertaste. You won’t taste it if you drink the water cold like when you put it in the refrigerator. But if drink it straight from the tap to filter, you definitely get a bitter aftertaste. Will use this for the duration of the life of filter because I don’t want to waste money but will definitely buy another product next time.

This is a quality product that is a beautiful addition to our home. Home Depot had it ready in the store the date that was stated when I reviewed the product. It fits nicely under our sink and leaves plenty of room. The water pressure is outstanding! The temperature of the water is perfect for us. My husband allowed me to install it. That’s how easy the directions are to follow. I needed him to hold the faucet itself while I tightened the screws underneath. Don’t worry about purchasing Teflon Tape it’s in the box. I do suggest that you read through the entire instructions first to familiarize yourself with the steps and pieces. I advise that you leave the screws in the packaging until you literally need them. There is a very small white piece named tubing that is inside the bag with the Male Needle and the white plastic sleeve was inside one of the holes of the needle. This product has exceeded our expectations and I can’t say enough about it. I must say the reviews helped me make my decision and we are very glad that we made this selection.

Got the APEC Water System to save money from buying bottle water. The water came out with no sediment, not cloudy and even tasted pretty good. We did a family taste test, we used 2 different types of bottled water from 2 different stores and the APEC Water System. The 4 family members could not really tell the difference so they just tried to guess which one was the APEC Water and which were the store bought bottle waters. Three family members picked the APEC Water as bottled water and one person did pick The APEC as the filtered water. I did add some 0 calorie 0 carb water flavor and APEC water tasted just great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

We installed unit 6 months ago and it has definitely helped our lousy Arizona water! We can now drink from the faucet, although it still has a slight taste. NOT a problem.
