This is a replacement for the original adapter received with a laptop. Like all of the Apple adapters, the cords fray easily. Purchasing a replacement has just become a regular thing. The fact is that we need them so we’re at their mercy to purchase more. Unfortunately, the quality of the cable isn’t the best but the adapter is powerful.
