The Apple 13″ MacBook Air features Apple’s first chip designed specifically for Mac. The Apple M1 integrates the CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, I/O, and more into a single system on a chip (SoC). Tackle your projects with the fast 8-Core CPU and take on graphics-intensive apps and games with the 7-core GPU. Accelerate machine learning tasks with the 16-core Neural Engine. Complete with a silent, fanless design and up to 18 hours of battery life, the MacBook Air is still portable, but now a lot more powerful. It also has 8GB of unified RAM and a 256GB SSD.
With over 4 million pixels, the 13.3″ Retina Display features a 2560 x 1600 screen resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio for 227 pixels per inch (ppi). The display also features up to 48 percent more color than the previous generation. With True Tone technology, the white balance automatically adjusts to match the color temperature of the light around you for a more natural viewing experience.
Connect to the internet via Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and use compatible wireless peripherals and accessories with Bluetooth 5.0. The two Thunderbolt 3 ports provide USB4 support and can even connect to the Apple Pro Display XDR in full 6K resolution. Apple also included studio-quality mics for clear recordings and calls. There is also Apple’s latest camera ISP in the M1 chip, which enables sharper images and more details in shadows and highlights in video calls. Keep your MacBook Air secure with Secure Enclave in M1 as well as Touch ID. The Touch Bar allows for shortcuts, the backlit Magic Keyboard provides a comfortable typing experience, and the Force Touch trackpad allows for precise cursor control, pressure-sensing capabilities, and Multi-Touch gestures.
Please note that this MacBook Air can only output to a single external display with up to 6K resolution at 60 Hz.
This Mac comes preloaded with macOS. Updates can be downloaded for free via the Mac App Store. Please check Apple’s website for upgrade eligibility.

Bought it to replace my 2018 MacBook Air. Didn’t expect much, but oh boy this thing is extremely responsive and fast.

B&H Photo shipped a new MacBook Air (16gb. & 1 Tb.) to me about a month ago to replace my late 2013 MacBook Pro. The keyboard has a little nicer feel and the Touch ID saves time. Battery life is way improved. All in all the only thing I’m missing are all the ports that were on the MacBook Pro. I had some questions that I had asked B&H and the response was quick and answered all my questions. Not my first order with B&H and it certainly will not be my last.

In 2 months I’ve used it, I have had issues with compatibility with many apps, including Photoshop, Lightroom, Homebrew, and many others. When I talked to Apple they just said keep the computer and wait until the developers of all the apps in the world catch up with their silicone m1 chip. It might be a good performance machine (couldn’t really experience it myself because of lack of compatibility, besides running benchmarks), but definitely not for now. Maybe in the future. Also, no card reader for photographers and videographers, etc?Really? It’s not big, Apple could fit it without making the laptop thicker. MagSafe charger would be a plus, too, instead of usb-c charger. By the way, be aware that this macbook has 4 thunderbolt ports. And those are the only ports you’ll get. No regular usb ports, either. It might have high scores with benchmarks but what good is it if you can’t use your favorite apps on it, right? Not being able to dual boot Windows on it is not good, either.

I bought the M1 MacBook Air last year, was a totally different experience with the power of the M1 chip in the Mac world. There is no doubt it is unpleasant with the outdated design, however, it offers excellent performance and epic battery life.

I am not computer literate and call Apple support quite often. I can get a live person when I call unlike other companies that make it nearly impossible to reach someone for help. When I do get someoneI have a very very difficult time understanding them for they speak in broken English and I am hard of hearing.

Absolutely love this laptop and it was exactly what I wanted, I didn’t know I could get Apple products so easily at B&H. The service was great, same day pick up in the store.

Quick response. Keyboard is nice. This is a replacement for my Mid 2012 MacBook Pro. I’ll still be using the older MacBook for routine stuff, The new one will be for travel (it is lighter) and for video editing.

I spent more on this PC than any I’ve ever bought. I received it in January 2022, have treated it with special care, and last week both the trackpad and the keyboard began malfunctioning. Then I discover that I’m supposed to bring it in for repair instead of being sent a box to ship it to the company, and the closest repair shop is at least an HOUR drive from where I live! I’m disabled, so this is far from convenient. What the frack kind of warranty service is this?

This MacBook Air is remarkable in so many ways. It’s replaced a 2 year old MacBook Pro, and runs circles around it without even getting warm to the touch. Amazing and I can’t wait to see where Apple goes with this technology.

It’s quite astonishing what Apple has achieved with the M1 chip and unified memory. It’s really hard to believe this amount of performance AND battery life is packed into a MacBook Air. Despite coming from a 2019 15 MacBook Pro, the performance and battery life improvements, along with the lack of the TouchBar, more than make up for the smaller screen. It’s also nice having the much smaller 30W charging brick.
