The Apple 13″ MacBook Air features Apple’s first chip designed specifically for Mac. The Apple M1 integrates the CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, I/O, and more into a single system on a chip (SoC). Tackle your projects with the fast 8-Core CPU and take on graphics-intensive apps and games with the 7-core GPU. Accelerate machine learning tasks with the 16-core Neural Engine. Complete with a silent, fanless design and up to 18 hours of battery life, the MacBook Air is still portable, but now a lot more powerful. It also has 8GB of unified RAM and a 256GB SSD.
With over 4 million pixels, the 13.3″ Retina Display features a 2560 x 1600 screen resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio for 227 pixels per inch (ppi). The display also features up to 48 percent more color than the previous generation. With True Tone technology, the white balance automatically adjusts to match the color temperature of the light around you for a more natural viewing experience.
Connect to the internet via Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and use compatible wireless peripherals and accessories with Bluetooth 5.0. The two Thunderbolt 3 ports provide USB4 support and can even connect to the Apple Pro Display XDR in full 6K resolution. Apple also included studio-quality mics for clear recordings and calls. There is also Apple’s latest camera ISP in the M1 chip, which enables sharper images and more details in shadows and highlights in video calls. Keep your MacBook Air secure with Secure Enclave in M1 as well as Touch ID. The Touch Bar allows for shortcuts, the backlit Magic Keyboard provides a comfortable typing experience, and the Force Touch trackpad allows for precise cursor control, pressure-sensing capabilities, and Multi-Touch gestures.
Please note that this MacBook Air can only output to a single external display with up to 6K resolution at 60 Hz.
This Mac comes preloaded with macOS. Updates can be downloaded for free via the Mac App Store. Please check Apple’s website for upgrade eligibility.

Just what I need it. Even that’s is a 2020 model. Like de simplicity, performance and the M1. Like the availability and customization options already in stock. Arrives one day earlier and the customer support to confirm your purchase and avoid fraud was amazing. Definitely buying again from B&H.

This computer seems to be quite snappy in it’s performance. Common tasks seem to happen almost instantly. It also seems to run Photoshop well.

Well the Mac book finally made to me doorstep in perfect condition. The Rose Gold is more copper than the pink it appears in the store and more to my liking. Classy color, classy computer. The feedback on the keys is less and takes a bit of getting used to. I will made the sacrifice for the lightweight, thin design. Everything appears to be Mac on par.

Ruined my 2016 15″ macbook pro by accidentally spilling coffee on it. So I got this one. Wow, so much faster. But the best feature is its silent and never heats up when on your lap. Battery life is better as well.

Great laptop! Performance is amazing for a laptop with no fan. The battery life is great. Got it on sale for $1,300. I think it’s a great price in these inflationary times.

The m1 chip on this laptop makes for an incredible experience. To think that they have changed the whole architecture with nary a hiccup!

I was looking for specific options on a MacBook Air and didn’t want to settle for whatever Apple could ship in the next week or two. B&H is one of the few places that carry configurations other than the most basic ones. They had this configuration in stock and delivered it weeks earlier than anyone else, including Apple, could have. Same warranty, same or slightly better price, almost immediate delivery.

Everything you have read or heard about the M1 processor being fast is true. Also, the Rosetta app seems to work flawlessly so far. Interestingly it is not pre-loaded. When you try to run an app that requires it for the first time the OS recognizes it and takes you to the App Store to download Rosetta. My two biggest complaints are the inane security to login when the Macbook starts up and issues with HDMI output via Thunderbolt 3 connectors. Although the MB Air has fingerprint recognition, it still requires a password. I’ve tried all kinds of security option setting but can’t seem to get around it. I wish it would use facial recognition like my iPhone. The HDMI issue is interesting and might be peculiar to my TV brand/size. I have a Samsung Series 9, 75 TV. Whenever I plug in an HDMI cable into a Thunderbolt 3 hub (I have two different brands/models with same issue) the icons/dock and text on the MB Air shrinks down to such a tiny size that they are barely visible and the text is unreadable. Further, the HDMI only passed video, no audio. When I use the Air Play feature for audio, the screen on the TV comes us with a marquee stating that Air Play can be used for audio and music, but just sits there and there is no video or audio coming from the TV. There a host of other issues when trying to stream from the MB Air to this TV but its too difficult and long to explain here. Very disappointed with this aspect of the MB Air. My wife late 2014, 11 MB Air has a mini Display Port on it and using a Mini DP to HDMI cable, works flawlessly with the same TV. Its really sad. So in summary; if you are looking for a fast notebook with a really great display this is it. If you are looking to use it as a streaming device, maybe not the best choice. In the meantime, I’ve ordered an Apple Thunderbolt 3 audio/video adaptor and going to give it a try. For those that are wondering, I did try a Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI cable for a direct connection without going through a hub but the results are the same. A word of caution though, many of the so called Thunderbolt 3 cables on the market are actually TB 2 version. Just to set the record straight, I only bought the MB Air from B&H, all the cables and hubs were purchased through Amazon. I rated the MB Air 4 stars but 3 1/2 stars would be more accurate (and 3 stars too low). Five stars for B&H; fast free shipping, reasonable pricing and good selection of products to choose from.

I resisted for years. It took Apple silicon to finally convince me to make the switch, and I am so glad I did. This machine is perfection!

Just got my 13.3 M1 MacBook Air and I have been pretty impressed by the speed and battery life. One comment is that the 30W charger that comes with takes a bit longer to fully charge. I mostly use a 60W charger I have instead and wish Apple upgrades to that in the future.

The computer is far faster than any previous Apple Macbook Air. However, I find the display somewhat blurry . Other than that, I am pleased with it.
