The Apple 13″ MacBook Air features Apple’s first chip designed specifically for Mac. The Apple M1 integrates the CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, I/O, and more into a single system on a chip (SoC). Tackle your projects with the fast 8-Core CPU and take on graphics-intensive apps and games with the 7-core GPU. Accelerate machine learning tasks with the 16-core Neural Engine. Complete with a silent, fanless design and up to 18 hours of battery life, the MacBook Air is still portable, but now a lot more powerful. It also has 8GB of unified RAM and a 256GB SSD.
With over 4 million pixels, the 13.3″ Retina Display features a 2560 x 1600 screen resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio for 227 pixels per inch (ppi). The display also features up to 48 percent more color than the previous generation. With True Tone technology, the white balance automatically adjusts to match the color temperature of the light around you for a more natural viewing experience.
Connect to the internet via Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and use compatible wireless peripherals and accessories with Bluetooth 5.0. The two Thunderbolt 3 ports provide USB4 support and can even connect to the Apple Pro Display XDR in full 6K resolution. Apple also included studio-quality mics for clear recordings and calls. There is also Apple’s latest camera ISP in the M1 chip, which enables sharper images and more details in shadows and highlights in video calls. Keep your MacBook Air secure with Secure Enclave in M1 as well as Touch ID. The Touch Bar allows for shortcuts, the backlit Magic Keyboard provides a comfortable typing experience, and the Force Touch trackpad allows for precise cursor control, pressure-sensing capabilities, and Multi-Touch gestures.
Please note that this MacBook Air can only output to a single external display with up to 6K resolution at 60 Hz.
This Mac comes preloaded with macOS. Updates can be downloaded for free via the Mac App Store. Please check Apple’s website for upgrade eligibility.

It is certainly much smaller and lighter than my previous MacBook Pro. Nice colors and is definitely faster.

This update to the MacBook Air is faster and better tha. I expected. Totally dig that I have everything I need to get work done without the unnecessary, for me, upgrades that exist in the MacBook Pro.

This laptop is unbelievably good. The size, form and finish are perfect, leaving nothing to be wanted. Battery life is outstanding- I can use it the whole day without plugging it in. I will be using this in dustier environments and I really appreciate that it does not have a fan. I bought the 16 gb which was probably unnecessary, but I plan on owning this computer for a long time, so I went with it. I was wondering if one of the 14 MacBook pros would be worth it, but I can honestly say that I have no regrets with this MacBook Air! Well done Apple!

I need to gush: this laptop is insanely good. It starts with the M1 chip, which crushes whatever I’m doing. I’ve timed things and it usually finishes tasks in 10% of the time of my previous Intel MacBook Pro. Launching apps is near instantaneous. Compiling code is a breeze. The only thing that I can do to slow it down is play Borderlands 3 at higher graphics settings (and I might add that that game isn’t optimized for Apple Silicon). The M1 also means that this laptop gets amazing battery life. In real-world use I get about 20 hours a charge. 20. Insane. The screen, design, form factor, speakers, keyboard, and trackpad are also excellent. Plus, it runs Mac OS. What would I realistically change? One more USB-C/Thunderbolt port would be great. I would even be willing to trade the headphone jack for this. But when considering the whole package — price, performance, efficiency, OS, aesthetics, and build quality — the M1 MacBook Air is the laptop to beat.

This was a birthday present for my son starting 10th grade. Confident this will take him through his senior year.

Beautiful to look at and performs better than the 16 i7 it replaced. Apple outdid themselves with this M1 lineup.

This laptop should be the default for almost everyone. It has ample power thanks to the outstanding M1 chip, a great keyboard, speakers, battery life, and touchpad. Blows almost every windows laptop out of the water. The outdated thick bezels and no touchscreen are the only thing holding this laptop back from being nearly perfect. Pros: -Amazing performance thanks to the M1 -Great keyboard -Great speakers -Amazing battery life -MacOS is simply superior to Windows in terms of smoothness, gestures, and appearance. -Build Quality Cons: -No touchscreen -Thick bezels -Only two USB-C ports and only on the left side. -Screen brightness could be better (still an improvement over the old air though)

I have a 3-yr old 13-in MacBook Pro, and this new MacBook Air is better in every way. What I like most is the better display and better camera, which greatly improves the FaceTime experience. I’m glad that Apple finally replaced the old butterfly keyboard too.

This laptop is super powerful. I’m a college student that does work in Adobe Creative Cloud and this computer is perfect for my needs. I love how light it is in terms of the weight and how it’s completely silent since there’s no fans. Also, the gold color is really cool. It is rose gold, orange, bronze, and copper tones in different lightings.

I have used an iMac for years and finally got a macbook, this is amazing. I edit off an external ssd and swap between the laptop and desktop.
