The Apple 13″ MacBook Air features Apple’s first chip designed specifically for Mac. The Apple M1 integrates the CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, I/O, and more into a single system on a chip (SoC). Tackle your projects with the fast 8-Core CPU and take on graphics-intensive apps and games with the 7-core GPU. Accelerate machine learning tasks with the 16-core Neural Engine. Complete with a silent, fanless design and up to 18 hours of battery life, the MacBook Air is still portable, but now a lot more powerful. It also has 8GB of unified RAM and a 256GB SSD.
With over 4 million pixels, the 13.3″ Retina Display features a 2560 x 1600 screen resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio for 227 pixels per inch (ppi). The display also features up to 48 percent more color than the previous generation. With True Tone technology, the white balance automatically adjusts to match the color temperature of the light around you for a more natural viewing experience.
Connect to the internet via Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and use compatible wireless peripherals and accessories with Bluetooth 5.0. The two Thunderbolt 3 ports provide USB4 support and can even connect to the Apple Pro Display XDR in full 6K resolution. Apple also included studio-quality mics for clear recordings and calls. There is also Apple’s latest camera ISP in the M1 chip, which enables sharper images and more details in shadows and highlights in video calls. Keep your MacBook Air secure with Secure Enclave in M1 as well as Touch ID. The Touch Bar allows for shortcuts, the backlit Magic Keyboard provides a comfortable typing experience, and the Force Touch trackpad allows for precise cursor control, pressure-sensing capabilities, and Multi-Touch gestures.
Please note that this MacBook Air can only output to a single external display with up to 6K resolution at 60 Hz.
This Mac comes preloaded with macOS. Updates can be downloaded for free via the Mac App Store. Please check Apple’s website for upgrade eligibility.

This laptop is wonderful in almost every way. I love the retina display and the processing is just as great as it should be. Transferring data from old Mac to new was incredibly easy. However, some days it doesn’t want to stay connected to the internet. I am working from home so the network hasn’t changed since I got a new computer. My husband doesn’t have issues on his computer, and my phone isn’t experiencing problems. I don’t understand why this happens, but it can be frustrating to have to continually reconnect. Otherwise, no complaints.

I’ve always had a MacBook pro, but from this generation I decided to order the Air with Chip M1. Much faster than my previous macs, I’ve always liked desktop more for performance, but this Macbook Air M1 doesn’t owe anything to my IMac 24 M1. It does everything with the same performance, it even scares the size. Best purchase I’ve made in a long time.

this mac air M1 is fantastic and significantly faster than my older macbook pro. The battery life is fantastic and seems to last all day even with a lot of activity including video, computation, graphics. Getting used to the smaller screen and less ports, are the drawbacks, but otherwise, the resolution is great, there are no heat problems or fan whirling, everything is fast and beautiful!

This Mac with the M1 chip is probably the most intuitive and the most useful Mac I have ever used. Why useful, well I also have the MacBook Pro 16, but with the light weight MacBook Air, i tend to bring it more often everywhere. The screen is just as bright and sharp as with the top of the line. The M1 chip really is a wonder considering how cool and fast it is. Perhaps the battery is the most significant difference on this Mac. It literally last the whole day.

I purchased this machine as a homework laptop for my school aged children. All of their software was compatible with the new M1 chip. I believe only Zoom even needed Rosetta emulation software. And it is lightening fast. The OS resumes instantly when the lid is opened and the battery lasts 14 hours on a charge doing normal homework tasks. Now if only I could actually get my kids to spend 14 hours on homework! Build quality is solid, the keyboard is shallow but better than the previous generation of MacBook Air. And because there’s no fan inside, this machine is completely silent. My only complaint is the lack of ports. I know it’s not Apple’s approach to include a lot of ports, but a microSD card slot or even HDMI would be handy on occasion. As it stands, I have an adapter for those when my kids need it.

This is probably the best and most well built laptops i’ve had the pleasure of using. super snappy (sometimes more so then my high end desktop), amazing screen, and great performance and battery life. i use this for on-the-go audio production, phot editing and video editing and i can do all of that with out getting too and AND not having a fan which is also helpful if you’re trying to record live audio. MacOS wasn’t as hard to figure out as i initially thought and the learning curve isn’t super steep. Rosetta 2 functions really well too allowing you to run x86 apps plus you get the added benefit of being able to run iphone/ipad apps. one of the best band for buck computers out their as long as you don’t want/need to do high performance gaming (never thought i’d say that about apple). 100% recommended to both apple and PC users.

I purchased it as a gift. It’s lightweight, fast, everything is packed for starters. If you don’t have to work with Windows users, Macbook Air is good for very first beginners. I’ll choose a 13 inch Macbook Pro, but I’ll wait for the M2 chip 16 inch Macbook Pro.
