The Apple Mac mini now features Apple’s first chip designed specifically for Mac. The Apple M1 integrates the CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, I/O, and more into a single system on a chip (SoC). All of this boosts the Mac mini to an entirely different level, as it features up to three times faster CPU performance, up to six times faster graphics, and up to 15 times faster machine learning with the 16-Core Neural Engine. You’ll be able to work, play, and create on a Mac mini with more power and speed than previous models, making it suitable for home offices, gaming, music creation, digital art and signage, and more. Adding to the Mac mini’s power is 8GB of RAM, which helps to ensure smooth multitasking and also allows the computer to quickly access frequently used files and programs.
The 8-Core GPU delivers a sharp, clear picture, and you’ll be able to output video to an external display using the system’s Thunderbolt 3 ports, which feature native DisplayPort output, or use the built-in HDMI 2.0 port. You’ll be able to connect one 6K / 60 Hz display using Thunderbolt 3 and a second 4K / 60 Hz display using HDMI 2.0.
For storing your files, this Mac mini is equipped with a 512GB SSD that delivers speeds of up to 3.4 GB/s. If you want to add external peripherals, two Thunderbolt 3 / USB4 ports that support bi-directional transfer speeds of up to 40 Gb/s, as well as 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 2, plus charging and power for external devices. Thanks to two 5 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, you’ll still be able to connect other devices to this system. Gigabit Ethernet is built in for wired networking, or use Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) for wireless access. Bluetooth 5.0 technology will allow you to connect additional compatible peripherals, including keyboards, mice, and headsets. Sound is output using a 3.5mm headphone jack. Apple’s Mac mini operates using an internal 150W power supply that runs off 100-240 VAC at 50 to 60 Hz.
This Mac comes preloaded with macOS. Updates can be downloaded for free via the Mac App Store. Please check Apple’s website for upgrade eligibility Also, please be aware that a keyboard and mouse are not included.

I was forced because of Adobe CC to upgrade my computer and this seemed like the way to go. I had no problem getting the latest Adobe CC installed and running as well as the latest ProTools. I was a little nervous about the new M1 chip but everything went smooth and so far I haven’t had any issues. This is not a powerhouse computer but it’s working great for the kind of projects I work on (light to medium). One little note, it runs very cool compared to the Intel Mac Mini’s which is good.

This thing is small and fast. I use Lightroom, Photoshop and Final Cut Pro, and have done some basic editing with all three so far and am delighted. It’s so much quicker than my old iMac. It makes photo and video editing fun again.

It’s a great value low profile computer with very minimal real estate space on the table. Can be put behind the monitor. I’ve used it for audio and video productions and works perfectly.

I had no idea what this was until I saw a Youtube video. SO wonderful to get rid of my ancient tower that weighs a TON and replace it with this small, lightweight computer that’s portable, fast, and has lots of memory.

The mini is one of the best values for a Mac. The M1 is speedy and does everything I need it to do without a problem (graphics, photo editing, etc.). Plenty of ports, memory, and storage without breaking the bank. Switching from a laptop, the only thing I miss is the fingerprint reader, but you could get an Apple keyboard with touch ID to solve that.

I needed to get an updated Mac to replace my aging late-2012 MacBook Pro – which I have effectively been using as a desktop for the last several years. B&H had the best deal and availability so I went for it. The computer arrived in perfect condition just days after ordering it. I had a few questions which were answered in short order by the B&H Support Team – great job! I will be ordering more from these folks. Great selection and service – Bravo!

Replacing a 2013 Mac Pro that was top of the line, this small, dead quiet computer was all needed to do all my computing including massive Raw files from my Leica camera. Love it!!!

I’ve had several of these and don’t mind upgrading when a new one comes out. Upgraded to this one due solely to its M1 processor. The previous one was quite zippy and had no issues. I’ve found I can usually sell my last one for a good price, makes it easy to upgrade. This one works great, faster than its 300+mgh predecessor.

I had difficulty with my Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I tried 2 different keyboards and 2 different mouses and none would work consistently. I now am using my old plug-in HP keyboard.
