The Apple Mac mini now features Apple’s first chip designed specifically for Mac. The Apple M1 integrates the CPU, GPU, Neural Engine, I/O, and more into a single system on a chip (SoC). All of this boosts the Mac mini to an entirely different level, as it features up to three times faster CPU performance, up to six times faster graphics, and up to 15 times faster machine learning with the 16-Core Neural Engine. You’ll be able to work, play, and create on a Mac mini with more power and speed than previous models, making it suitable for home offices, gaming, music creation, digital art and signage, and more. Adding to the Mac mini’s power is 8GB of RAM, which helps to ensure smooth multitasking and also allows the computer to quickly access frequently used files and programs.
The 8-Core GPU delivers a sharp, clear picture, and you’ll be able to output video to an external display using the system’s Thunderbolt 3 ports, which feature native DisplayPort output, or use the built-in HDMI 2.0 port. You’ll be able to connect one 6K / 60 Hz display using Thunderbolt 3 and a second 4K / 60 Hz display using HDMI 2.0.
For storing your files, this Mac mini is equipped with a 512GB SSD that delivers speeds of up to 3.4 GB/s. If you want to add external peripherals, two Thunderbolt 3 / USB4 ports that support bi-directional transfer speeds of up to 40 Gb/s, as well as 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 2, plus charging and power for external devices. Thanks to two 5 Gb/s USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, you’ll still be able to connect other devices to this system. Gigabit Ethernet is built in for wired networking, or use Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) for wireless access. Bluetooth 5.0 technology will allow you to connect additional compatible peripherals, including keyboards, mice, and headsets. Sound is output using a 3.5mm headphone jack. Apple’s Mac mini operates using an internal 150W power supply that runs off 100-240 VAC at 50 to 60 Hz.
This Mac comes preloaded with macOS. Updates can be downloaded for free via the Mac App Store. Please check Apple’s website for upgrade eligibility Also, please be aware that a keyboard and mouse are not included.

I ordered a 16 gb Ram, 512 gb SSD on a $150 off sale. I was reluctant to use a non-Apple vendor, but Amazon did not have the combination I wanted, and the B&H price was the best I had seen. They delivered on-time in perfect condition. I knew I would like the M1 Mac Mini. I wasn’t sure about B&H. I am now sold and will not hesitate to order from B&H again, when the price is right!

Easily connected and set up a breeze….love it. Plenty of storage for my thousands of photos and files, and so much faster than my old Mac mini. Sheryl

The basic computer works fine and is easy to set up. B & H was professional, as usual. My problem occurred when moving my old computer data to the new one since I did not exclude Applications. That ended up doubling key programs which in turn locked me out of mini Mac Preferences. Two Apple consultants, then a supervisor, responded immediately and walked me through an erasure, then downloading new OS, then correctly moving my file. GREAT support and not for the first time. RB

So are this machine seems to perform just as all the glowing reviews promised. There are issues with bluetooth connections (with mouse and keyboard) that I understand are being addressed. Also, as one might imagine, there are incompatibility issues with some old software. But the speed is impressive

First time user of Apple and am very please with this purchase. Super fast and the transition to Apple was seamless. B&H tech steered me in the right direction on this purchase and my other purchases. I am definitely a fan of B&H for my past camera purchases and now computer needs. There staff are exceptionally knowledgeable.

Cuts through 4k video like nothing… Should have bought it when it first came out. The m1 chip is a huge upgrade from all prior versions. All the positive reviews are on point. The big negative that I saw on reviews was the bluetooth connectivity issues… I have never had either my logitech keyboard and mouse lose connection thus far. Highly recommended.

I have looked at the Mac Mini with desire ever since it was released years ago. Instead I went with Apple laptops and iMacs, but with new Apple silicon I decided the price was right to give one a try. Set-up was quick and easy using a Magic Mouse and Apple Bluetooth keyboard. I’m using a Lenovo USB-C monitor. It recognized it right away. Highly recommended as an affordable way to enter the Apple ecosystem or as an addition to your other Apple hardware.

I was due for a new Mac as my Macbook pro was headed towards its 6th year. I am not a power user, just web browsing, you tube, music, and some photo editing, this is the perfect machine for all that. Don’t let that fool you though the Mac Mini is fully capable for the power user as well. I’ve had it for over a month now and I am glad I bought it. I fully recommend it.

I had a 2011 iMac with an i7, SSD and 32GB RAM and could tell it was slowing down even with two major apps running. I watched the reviews of the 16GB M1 Mini and decided to pull the trigger at the price point. In the first week, I was able to run ProPresenter 7, Photoshop and Premiere without any glitches. Not only was it able to run them, but had ProPresenter handling the import of over 1000 motion backgrounds (170GB), Premiere playing video previews at full resolution and impressive renders. Not to mention that all of the apps open within a second. I have a 2016 MacBook Pro that takes at least 5-10 seconds to open each app, can only preview video at 1/4 resolution and can’t handle all those apps at the same time with out slowing down majorly. The ONLY problem I have with it is the well known GPU problem. The screen will randomly and lightly flicker when certain color combinations are on the screen. With a refresh, it usually stops. I have read from multiple places online that the hope is it will be resolved with the next update. Overall, paired with a quality monitor (I got a 28″ Asus 4K), it’s an absolute powerhouse, and will only continue to get better as more and more apps become compatible with the M1 chip.

I bought this Mac mini to use in my church with both ProPresenter and OBS, and it works great! No glitches, it is a great value for money. The only drawback is that NDI software does not work as of today, but I hope this issue is gonna be solved within a couple of months. Fast and dependable machine.

Spot-on service and delivery from B&H. I haven’t had the computer in use long yet but as a Mac owner and user since my first Macintosh SE in1988 I expect it to be just fine.

When my 27 iMac was no longer upgradable to Big Sur, I gave it to my 9 year old nephew for his school work. I decided to buy the new M1 Mac Mini and the Viewsonic monitor to replace it. The Mac Mini is FAST and even though my iMac had more RAM, the 16GB of RAM seems more than enough for my needs. Great device.

There are many issues I’m having with this brand new mini, like distorted fonts, screens savers not working, keyboards not working properly and many others. My 2011 mac (which this M1 mac was replacing) has much less issues (it essentially runs flawlessly). Sometimes newer is not necessarily better.

I bought the Mac Mini to see if it could compete with my 2016 MBP for Adobe Premier editing. I am not geeky enough to run programs to see how fast each computer is but I feel confident that the Mac Mini is every bit as fast as the completely tricked out MBP at approximately 20% of the price. No regrets over the purchase.

It is a powerful and charming device in a small form factor. Due to a different architecture, some software programs may not work properly yet, but the problems are to be resolved sooner or later.

The computer would not recognize my wireless keyboard or wireless mouse. Apple support suggested a wired keyboard. They refused to pay for it.

I purchased the Mac mini with the M1 chip to replace my late 2011 iMac. I have been pleasantly satisfied with how easy it was to setup and how well it runs x86 apps, like all the Adobe suite apps. I am also impressed with how responsive and fast it is. I can not wait to see what else I can do with it. Do recommend if you think you need the 16gb of memory then get it since you can not upgrade it later.
