It’s a well made cable. Packaging for it is complete overkill and a pain to open.
Letha Ortiz (verified owner) –
Backward compatibility solved. Very good tool… good construction, and worth every penny I overpaid.

The USB Type-C to USB Type-A Adapter worked exactly right when I connected my Sony cameras to my MacBook Pro and uploaded my photos to the laptop photo app.
Clair Kirlin (verified owner) –
With only one port you must have this cable to transfer from older Mac’s, run a superdrive and download photos from a non Wifi camera and access your portable hard drive backup. You just have to have this, should be provided by Apple.

Would buy again

I bought a new MacBook, will use this to connect to my external hard drives which have USB connections. Small, compact and does the job
Maude Walter (verified owner) –
This product is very reasonably priced considering the quality and usefulness. It fits seamlessless with the computer and makes syncing USB devices easy.
Kamille Ziemann (verified owner) –
The USB adaptor works beautifully, no complaints at all!
Jessica Pacocha (verified owner) –
No need to spend a lot of money on OEM adapters. This works just as good and was not nearly as costly.
Brandy D’Amore (verified owner) –
The port on this adapter is not blue but it is USB 3. It transfers files effortlessly from a SSD to my iPad Pro.
Rylan King (verified owner) –
Simple device, well made, works fine.
Gust Boehm (verified owner) –
Does the job. No complaints.
Creola Kling (verified owner) –
This works fine to connect a USB-A drive, etc.

Just bought a new one to tether a Fuji XT4 using C1 and a brand new MBP, and it doesn’t work. I do manage to tether the same computer + camera using an older Apple USB adapter (the larger one, with HDMI too), so I suspect it’s a problem with the one I got – will request an exchange.
Christina Gulgowski (verified owner) –
It does the job I bought it for. It’s a little pricey, but like all Apple products, it seems to have the quality a I was looking for.
Wilford Schaefer (verified owner) –
Works like a charm… makes new old.
Mariela Towne (verified owner) –
works fine

Kaley Rippin (verified owner) –
It feels tight on the USB 2 side but otherwise works great.

Works as advertised, no complaints
