Great adapter to have!

I use this on my MacBookAir for attaching a USB HardDrive for Time Machine. It works just fine. I have not checked speeds, but after the initial back-up, it does not take long to update.

It does what it’s supposed to do. So far, I’ve had no issues using the adapter with external drives and the standard Apple USB-to-Lightning cable for iPhone. I wish the price was much lower, though.
Marcelo Lind (verified owner) –
Super easy adapter and I love that it doesn’t have a long cord but long enough to keep from interfering with the computer or whatever I have plugged in. Plus I LOVE the price from BHPVideo!
Freida Leffler (verified owner) –
Good, reliable connection. I haven’t had any glitches or lost connection. Worth it to not need to buy all new cords for my drives and tether cables.
Evalyn Baumbach (verified owner) –
Simple solution, and works with all my accessories. Been 6 months since I bought it, no problems.

good choice

Since coming from older Macs and using older USB ports, you need this adapter to continue using older accessories. This product has a snug fit and does what it is supposed to do.

After using some cheap C to A USB adapters this one is a pleasure to use. Good snug fit doesn’t come loose when it gets bumped losing the connection. Very pleased.

While the ideal situation would be to own all usb-C gear to use with the new model MacBooks, some things we just can’t replace. This adapter is a simple plug and play solution to bring old technology to the new era.

Very useful, easily portable dangle which you need to connect USB drives and other devices
Drew Luettgen (verified owner) –
Works well, simple and straightforward. Apple dongles always have a sturdy connection that won’t knock loose easily.
Orion Kuhn (verified owner) –
Works well but I find the smaller adapters with no cable more useful.

If I ever catch the person who conceived of these adapters, I will surely end up in prison. Its extremely well made though, and buying knock off brands will always cause issues with audio gear (or at least, always has for me). In these trying times, we should be thankful to have keyboards on which to type reviews, and adapters to connect them. And Apple employees should additionally be thankful for the exhaustive and competent physical security measures on their campus.

Does its job . Would have been great if we got multiple legacy ports.
Rickey Bechtelar (verified owner) –
This adapter is a little more expensive but it worth it. It is a fast one and very compatible with Apple devices. I recommend it.

I don’t quite need HDMI so I simply went with this type C to type A adapter. You’ll need this for your Macbook.
Marvin Collins (verified owner) –
No problem connecting my Sony camera to MacBook using this

Works like a charm!
