Once you get the stand off, the adapter is easy to put together. They give you some new screws to put it back together. Take it very slow taking the stand off. The screws Apple uses are very soft and will strip easy. Use the new screws and take your time. If you dont trust them, go buy new ones. The money you pay for the APPLE computer and the Visa mount adapter comes down to APPLE being cheap on a hand full of set screws…

I needed the mount so I was forced to pay what seems expensive for a square of metal. Especially since I already had one for an Apple display that has the same outline and looks identical except for the placement of screws and the way it attaches internally. However, the kit is easy to use, the directions are clear, and all needed tools are provided. I’ll store them in the box if I need to remove the mount.
