This Apple trackpad is excellent. It allows easy access to all the touch commands available in Mac OS, is very spacious and easy to work on and, if you have the iMac Pro in space gray, it completes the look of your system. (And if rumors are true this color is sadly going away so get it while they last at a good price.)

I’ve had trouble getting my Macbook Pro to recognise it every time I attempt to do so, but once it does it works beautifully. The battery seems to last forever.

I have a MacBook Pro and I added a Magic Keyboard and Trackpad. Great decision. I only wish the track pad or keyboard had the fingerprint authentication built in. Very difficult to go back to typing on the MacBook after the transition.

This is what I was looking for… and Apple delivered again. Super happy. I have a monitor, wireless keyboard and track pad using an Iogear docking station and I have the best of both worlds I can work in other areas with my laptop or in my desk and have the same experience Mices are dead!

Years ago at a production company my boss would edit videos using a Wacom Intous Tablet. As much as I was intrigued by it I was a cheapskate at heart and I had no desire to spend that sort of money when I had a perfectly good mouse. I’m Old School in that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Fast forward ten years and I had worn out an old Apple corded keyboard and an Apple corded mouse that hadn’t scrolled in over 6 months. So I started hunting for replacements. I’m not the greatest fan of wireless accessories but I rolled the dice on both an Apple Magic Keyboard and a Trackpad 2. My research indicated that most people would gravitate towards either having a dedicated trackpad or a dedicated mouse, but few would recommend purchasing both. In general I would agree with that assessment, but I’m the exception in that I’ve come to enjoy the benefits of surfing the web and doing most computer tasks with the trackpad, but when I edit video I still much prefer the security and feel of a corded mouse. I don’t often embrace new technology, if at all, but this is one off those decisions that really surprised me by how quickly I adapted to the Trackpad 2 and would not want to go back to life without one because I enjoy it so much. But I’m not giving up my mouse either, especially for video editing. This is destined to be part of my daily workflow for many years to come.
