Bring Force Touch to your Mac with the space gray Apple Magic Trackpad 2. With four force sensors underneath the trackpad surface, you’ll be able to click anywhere and have the Trackpad detect subtle pressure differences you apply for added functionality with Force Touch. The edge-to-edge glass surface area is almost 30% larger than the previous generation Magic Trackpad, so you’ll have more space to use multi-touch gestures. The Magic Trackpad 2 is also rechargeable, thanks to a built-in battery which can run for up to a month on a single charge. This allows it to have a lower profile, which makes scrolling and swiping more comfortable.
Magic Trackpad 2 pairs automatically with your Mac, so you can get to work right away.

Much less wear and tear on fingers, wrists – clearly worth the investment from an ergonomic perspective.

I have a 2013 Mac Pro in my living room. There is a white Smal Kybrd and a white track pad there. in my bead room are the space gray ones and they all work good.

I just upgraded from the original Apple Trackpad to the Trackpad 2. The larger surface area is helpful and I like the additional gestures that are available. The three-finger drag is really helpful, you don’t have to plant one finger and swipe with another as in the old trackpad. Several reviewers mentioned the stickiness of the plastic surface. I haven’t experienced that, the drag is about the same as with the older aluminum pad. Been using it 6 hours daily for a couple of weeks and the battery is still showing 60% charge. I’m very satisfied with it.

I’d really like the design of this new Magic Trackpad, but like any new product out there, it could use a little bit of improvement. Especially the touch force technology. If you have a sweaty hand it can be a drag sometime to get the arrow to work. Overall it’s a nice little gadget to have.

Very pleased with this trackpad. Although description states silver, it’s mostly white which was a nice surprise. Yes, there is silver on the sides but the top is white. It took some getting used to but not long. The price isn’t great but I don’t like the prices of any of the Apple products….yet….I still purchase….go figure.

Don’t get me wrong I liked the old trackpad alot I never actually bought one, but I played with them a lot at the @. Then this new model came out and it was love at first sight here is what I LOVE over the previous model1. It is wider my hand seems to fit more naturally on it and the gestures are easier also it is lower profile due to there not being a AA battery in there2. Built in batteries this thing goes about 3 weeks on a charge under heavy use or you can just plug the lightning cable in the back3. Force Touch which I love on my Macbook Pro is now on my iMac! also if you have a non-Force-Touch Macbook this trackpad will enable you to use it (tried this on my Macbook Air)All in all this is a great upgrade highly recommend

But I would prefer a mouse. It’s such a different movement than normal keyboard operations. At least for my use.

I have been using both the default keyless with my 2019 Pro, and had this Trackpad 2 from my Mac mini now in another location. Having 2 trackpads, one for each machine, makes more sense as the hand motions become so routine. Switching back and forth between the two styles is also an occasional relief for my hands, but I prefer the trackpad overall.

Bought one as a gift for my wife who had been using her 20-year old Apple Keyboard and mouse. I suggested that she try my Apple extended keyboard and Magic Trackpad (1) hat I had been using for a while. Needless to say, she loved them &now she has the BT versions of both. Sh loves them even more!

I really like it, but I noticed that when the system was under heavy load, the cursor would SERIOUSLY lag when I tried to use it via Bluetooth. The way my desk is set up, leaving it plugged in all the time is fine, but its very annoying that it is pretty much unusable (by me anyway) over Bluetooth on a system that is busy. If Apple wants everything to be wireless, then they need to not have a totally compromised experience when using a device wirelessly. For reference, I have a 2018 Mac Mini with 3.2 GHz Core i7 processor.

Really liking the portability and convenience of this trackpad. The Bluetooth connection works great too.

Really convenient and useful external trackpad, love being able to have the experience of my Macbook trackpad without having to be tied to my Macbook keyboard. It often disconnects from my laptop, but that could be due to the plastic covering I left on (to keep it in tip-top shape). All in all, excellent product, just wish it wasn’t so expensive 🙁

For me, it’s the tactile feel of the trackpad and the fact that it’s a larger and more stable surface. Solid and responsive although it takes a little getting used to with force touch. Love that it can be used wired through USB port or wirelessly with Bluetooth.

I had the trackpad that came with my 2013 27 iMac. I decided to get this one to go with my new M1 Mac Mini. Very nice.
