Bring Force Touch to your Mac with the space gray Apple Magic Trackpad 2. With four force sensors underneath the trackpad surface, you’ll be able to click anywhere and have the Trackpad detect subtle pressure differences you apply for added functionality with Force Touch. The edge-to-edge glass surface area is almost 30% larger than the previous generation Magic Trackpad, so you’ll have more space to use multi-touch gestures. The Magic Trackpad 2 is also rechargeable, thanks to a built-in battery which can run for up to a month on a single charge. This allows it to have a lower profile, which makes scrolling and swiping more comfortable.
Magic Trackpad 2 pairs automatically with your Mac, so you can get to work right away.

B & H Photo is my go to place for quality, service and reliability! My recent purchase of the Apple Magic Trackpad 2 complements my photo editing processes using Lightroom and Photoshop. The trackpad has a sleek modern design with an abundance of flexibility. I am able to reach a desired flow in my photo editing processes using the Apple Magic Trackpad.

I replaced the earlier model with this and it works more smoothly and easily, so it is a significant improvement. I’m glad I bought it.

The Magic TrackPad 2 works as advertised, except for occasional Drag& Drop problems. This may be an El Capitan software issue with my iMac, as the divide works perfectly with my 13MacBook Pro (Retina). I’m hoping that a future OS release will fix this problem.

As always Apple doesn’t disappoint. Love the simple sleek design and the quality workmanship on this product. Works great with my Apple keyboard and 2020 Macbook Pro to create a comfortable desktop workspace.

I’m still getting used to this Trackpad 2, but I think it was a good upgrade for me. It has a larger surface area than the original, which is a plus. Even better is being able to recharge the built-in battery by simply plugging it in.

. ..and your trackball. Repetitive injury to my shoulder because of a stupid mouse left me a one armed man for months. Got a fancy trackball and I grew to hate it’s limitedness. Apple Magic Trackpad saved my photography / video production / audio production / web development / graphic design / Etsy shop / Creative Market career and boosted my performance. Paired with a Wacom tablet and Shuttle Xpress, this trackpad is … the one.

Connected perfectly and easy to setup and use. Force Touch works great. New model’s trackpad surface is significantly larger than the first generation which helps control the cursor much better.

I prefer the trackpad over the mouse for most activities on the computer. This trackpad is more expensive than my first one but works fine for my uses.

Pros: 30% larger trackpad surface than original, lighter, rechargeable battery, instant pair with computer (when initially plugged into charge). New lighter size also makes it easier to stow in computer bag. Highly recommended.

I had the first track pad for over 8 years and in that time i used it on 1 desktop and 3 laptops. It never failed always paired till the other day. I figured get the new one and it is a vast improvement over the last one in soooo many ways. 1 the rechargeable battery 2 the surface is so much more responsive. It is just a well made product like the last one.

If you have a choice, get the magic trackpad 2. Pricey, but works much better than the mouse.

Trackpad is easy connect and love the Lightning connect recharge. Holds charge for long time.

Huge area on the trackpad! And the fact that it’s rechargeable instead of batteries. The old version of the trackpad had batteries that exploded in them and I could no longer use. Luckily that won’t be happening with this one.

I’ve been hooked on the trackpad since acclimating to my older model 4 years ago. (I’m not quite sure why that one can’t work with my new iMac, except of course for the purposes of extracting more money from me come upgrade time.) It may take a bit of getting used to at first, but in my experience & opinion the trackpad is absolutely worth the expense and effort. It makes navigation and selection much more efficient, even more so than with the magic mouse (which already does have some nice built-in amenities). I had to use said mouse for a week when the trackpad parcel got delayed and it was a bit of a chore: more tedious and physically uncomfortable. Compared to the older version, you get a bit more surface area, USB charging (no more messing around with AAs) and an extra level of pressure sensitivity. The latter development seems a bit underwhelming in its implementation but there are a few things it can help speed up.

The track pad is great – and I like the lighting charging capability – please note – you need a new OS to make it work – at least Yosemite – it will not be discoverable otherwise
