The space gray Apple Magic Wireless Keyboard with Numeric Keypad features an extended layout with document navigation and full-size arrow keys. The numeric keypad also allows for faster input of numbers, especially useful for spreadsheets and finance applications.
Each key features a scissor mechanism that allows for increased stability as well as optimized key travel. The low-profile design also provides a comfortable typing experience. The Magic Keyboard has a built-in battery that can power it for up to a month on a single charge (battery life may vary). When the battery is running low, you can recharge it with the included Lightning to USB cable.

We are not a fan of the simplified keyboard that comes standard with the iMac, so we purchased this as an upgrade. The expanded keyboard with the number pad is so much more useful than the compact one.

I love my Apple Magic Keyboard, and I use it every day at my work and at home. These things are pricey, but the battery lasts forever (I forget there’s one in there) and the feel of the keyboard is great. If you’re a snob or want a keyboard with a lot of travel, I would look elsewhere but if you want Apple’s design language in a pretty good package that works for the common denominator, look no further. I just wish it was backlit.

I only recently received my unit but so far I’m happy with it. Note: the keyboard does automatically lock your Ipad in the landscape mode. You’ll have to unlock it to use in the portrait mode. One thing I dislike is there is no numeric keyboard (not a deal killer though. I love that it can be used as a carrying case although I elected to purchase another case that better protects the camera lenses from damage. As I continue to use my keyboard I’ll update this review.

My older wired Apple keyboard finally bit the dust, expired, was pushing up daisies. I tried to find another like it, but, of course, it isnt available anymore. My only Apple option, which I thought would be most compatible, was this Magic keyboard, which can be used with Bluetooth or wired. Well, mister, the magic here is that if your OS is an older version than Sierra (I am running El Capitan), none of the top row of function keys functions according to the icon printed upon it. I tried every possible solution I could find on the Internet, and naturally, none of them worked. The alphabet keys and number pad work the way they are marked, but the function keys are all functioned up. This is Apples way of ensuring that it keeps making a profit by programming previous generations of OS and hardware to be obsolete. This is capitalism at its most logical extrapolation. My next computer will be a PC, with a nice generic, totally functional keyboard.

Every morning I wake up to have this on my tummy fully open with the iPad PRO. Every morning I wake up without the sensation of getting burned and trying to have ways to cool down my laptop. No more of those moments, never trying to touch the screen or pinch to zoom. This is heaven, I come from a family who used just 13 inch MacBook Pro and this feels really similar. I would not trade this for anything and it brings back memories to when I was a child and I have always dreamt about having one. So do your self a huge favor and get yourself one it’s amazing.

This is a great keyboard if you do a lot of data entry or spreadsheets. The fact that it is rechargeable and bluetooth is a great combination. I use it at my home desk when using my MacBook Pro with and external monitor.
