Now featuring the Magic Keyboard with a redesigned scissor mechanism, the Silver Apple 13.3″ MacBook Pro with Retina Display provides a comfortable and accurate typing experience. The 13.3″ MacBook Pro also features a 13.3″ Retina Display, immersive stereo speakers, all-day battery life, and the power of macOS, all in a portable, compact design.
The 13.3″ Retina Display has a 2560 x 1600 resolution at 227 ppi as well as 500 nits of brightness. It also supports the P3 wide color gamut which allows for more vibrant colors. This ensures true-to-life pictures with realistically vivid details, which are essential for graphic design, color grading, and editing. With True Tone technology, the white balance automatically adjusts to match the color temperature of the light around you for a more natural viewing experience.
The Magic Keyboard on this MacBook Pro has a redesigned scissor mechanism that delivers 1mm of key travel as well as an Apple-designed rubber dome that stores more potential energy for a responsive key press. There’s also a physical Esc key and an inverted “T” arrangement for the arrow keys. The Touch Bar places controls right at your fingertips and adapts to different apps to provide useful functions without having to navigate complex menus or memorize keyboard shortcuts. Replacing the function keys in the top row of the keyboard, the Touch Bar features a Retina-quality display and supports multi-touch input. The power button contains the Touch ID sensor, so you can quickly log into your MacBook Pro using your fingerprint. You can also use Touch ID to make purchases over the web, thanks to Apple Pay. Touch ID enables a quick, accurate reading of your fingerprint and uses sophisticated algorithms to recognize and match it with the Secure Enclave in the Apple T2 chip with “Hey Siri” functionality.
This MacBook Pro is powered by a 1.4 GHz Intel Core i5 Quad-Core (8th Gen) processor that features a burst speed of up to 3.9 GHz, while 8GB of 2133 MHz LPDDR3 onboard RAM helps to ensure smooth multitasking and also allows the computer to quickly access frequently used files and programs. The system memory cannot be upgraded.
For long-term storage of your files, this MacBook Pro is equipped with a 512GB SSD. If you want to add external peripherals, 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports support bi-directional transfer speeds of up to 40 Gb/s, while also supporting 10 Gb/s USB 3.1 and device charging. Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) is built-in for wireless networking, and Bluetooth 5.0 technology will allow you to connect additional compatible peripherals. There is a FaceTime HD webcam.
This Mac comes preloaded with macOS. Updates can be downloaded for free via the Mac App Store. Please check Apple’s website for upgrade eligibility.

Intuitively designed, powerful, great resolution. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase. And as always, excellent service from B&H.

This is a speedier, more feature-rich upgrade from the previous version. The higher-end version is a much better option than the entry-level, worth the extra bucks. And B&H offered some discounted perks you can add to the package, making it even more attractive. It would have been even better if this was the rumored 14 version.

I’ve never been a fan of MacBook’s and have dreaded every single one that I’ve owned but Apple hit the nail on the head this time. I no longer have to dread using my beloved MacOS on hardware that I don’t like. B&H had a great promo deal on such a newly released device, so I bit the bullet. I will definitely only be buying my MacBook’s from B&H from now on. They were extremely prompt about shipping despite the COVID-19 situation.

It’s nice, light and very useful for usual works at home, study and travel. It may also be suitable for work places. The charger is fast and strong. The battery also is great and works for long hours. For me, I found these features are more than enough. It’s may first time that I bought a computer with apple operation systems, and it was a little bit hard to use in first place for someone only use Microsoft systems but I used to now. I see now the big differences and flexibility between the windows and the macOS which also can affect on the performance of any computer.

Those aren’t USB A ports on the side. They’re USB C ports. I had to buy an extra adapter. Love and learn.

My purchase decision was based on another reviewer who said he had purchased more than 100 Apple computers over the decades and he said for this particular model, Apple had really hit the ball out of the park. As a window user for decades, there is a learning curve for me. But I wish I had changed ship years ago. This laptop is a joy to have.

I purchase this to replace my 2013 MacBook Pro, it is a big upgrade in performance. I use it for editing photos and it is just flat the best notebook I’ve used. I have owned at least 10 windows notebooks prior to my first MacBook. I considered going back but just couldn’t find anything that would satisfy me, the B&H price was one of the lowest and the only place that could deliver it right away.

As an owner of the original Macintosh 128k desktop in the 80’s, I’ve probably bought 100 macintosh computers over the years. As far as laptops, this one is my favorite thus far. I also have a 16 inch MacBook Pro but find it is so heavy — although loaded with power– that I prefer to use the smaller 13 inch one in less I absolutely need the added RAM and faster CPU. The real glory here is the keyboard — so much better than the previous model. I really wouldn’t advise being the 2019 model no matter how much it is discounted because you’ll get the old keyboard which frequently malfunctioned when dust got under the keys. I also recommend getting 16 GB RAM if you can afford it. Things run much more smoothly. Apple really hit this one out of the park.

This electronic wonder is loaded! As I expected from Apple, this product doesn’t disappoint . The specs are fabulous, great design, really built well and you can do and achieve a lot with this laptop.

Videoconferencing was beginning to tax my older MacBook Pro so I decided it was time to upgrade. B&H had a sale on this model with 10th generation processor, making it hard to refuse over the entry level model. I couldn’t be happier. The display is wonderful, sound outstanding for a laptop of its size, and it runs cool thanks to the upper tier model’s twin cooling fans.

I’ve been an Apple user since the beginning of time. Having had the iMac, Apple Watch, iPhone Pro 11 upgraded from 5SE and the iPad Pro, but I’ve never had a MacBook Pro. All I can say is WOW to this new 2020 MacBook Pro. Almost as powerful as my desktop iMac, it’s great for working on my photos!! Don’t hesitate like I did for all these years, go get one!!

I bought this to replace a 2009 MacBook Pro. It’s very fast, very light and I was surprised by the convenience of the Touch Bar. I use it a lot to control screen intensity and audio levels. Windows 10 performs very well using Parallels. Wi-Fi is fast and responsive. Given that my previous Mac Pro lasted 11 years (it’s still works but the OS hasn’t been upgradeable for several years), I expect the 2020 version to last a long time.

All the external is perfect for this macbook. Yes, it runs a bit hot but if you use a stand it’s fine. I used to use a macbook air 13″ from way back in 2015 or so. I had no problems with this macbook at all. This new one. However… the trackpad seems to be more sensitive (maybe due to more functions added), so when I am trying to read on pdf or online sometimes it over clicks and does things I don’t want it to do. A fix for me was to turn off trackpad functions that I was not used to in settings. The other thing that has bothered me is that when I made a new Apple ID I booted up the mac, a couple days later it automatically logged me out saying “this person is not active,” when I was clearly still using that ID! I called apple and after a barrage of connecting me to different departments the problem somehow resolved itself as I was able to magically log back in (one of the departments must have messed around with something as I was being passed around). This was frustrating because I didn’t discover the origin of the problem and I don’t know if this will happen again. I also kept getting logged out of my apple ID in itunes whenever I would close my laptop and open it back up. I went into my apple ID and fixed some things with expired payment methods and it seems to work smoothly now, but really?! These minor bugs really annoyed me. I mainly bought this computer for Logic and Final Cut, but I haven’t gotten to fully dive into those programs yet, but so far it seems to run fast and smoothly, which is a huge leap from my old macbook air. Overall I’m satisfied, but at the same time slightly disappointed – especially for what I paid!
