Use the black Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro from Apple to give your tablet a feel that rivals laptops. With its floating cantilever design, your 3rd and 4th Generation 12.9″ iPad Pro magnetically attaches to the Magic Keyboard for smooth viewing angle adjustments. Its full-size, backlit keys feature a scissor mechanism with 1mm travel for fast and quiet typing. The keyboard also has a built-in multi-gesture touchpad that allows precise interaction with iPadOS applications. A USB Type-C pass-through charging port is located on the keyboard folio’s hinge, freeing the iPad Pro’s port for peripherals such as external storage drives. Once you’re done, the keyboard doubles as a cover that protects the front and back of your iPad Pro.

Works great. Glad there are no cords to deal with.

Purchased to use with my Macbook Pro when docked. The same keyboard came with my previous iMac Pro and it works well, as expected.

This item isn’t working it says it’s supposed to automatically pair and I haven’t been able to use.

It’s a good keyboard but, should have a backlight for the price.

Gamechanger as advertised. This nifty little accessory weighs just enough to keep the iPad Pro from tipping forward while not feeling too heavy to carry around. If not for the pandemic I’d totally be at my local Starbucks Flexing Hard with this bad boy lol! All jokes aside, the travel on the keys is excellent and the backlighting adjusts with the ambient light around you. The trackpad may need adjusting for speed in the settings app. The magnetic technique was definitely the way to go because I can just pop off the iPad Pro when I need to draw and just pop it onto my other case with magnets and a drawing angle. I use this keyboard as a Charging Dock too. Super easy, just pop on the iPad and it starts charging. A great investment for small business and independent artists who have to do more than just be a creative but manage different aspects of their business. This thing ruined me. I can’t go back to not having the trackpad and keyboard after this. Highly recommended.

This is my first wireless keyboard with a numeric extension. It is perfect when entering many numbers into documents and spreadsheets. I do not know how I have gotten by with just a keyboard. This is worth your consideration when in the market for a new or replacement keyboard for your Mac.

Recent iPadIOS 14.4 release disables the DELETE key on this device. What a joke, $300 keyboard and my emails continue to go undeleted..

this thing is F@#&%*g sweet. has a nice feel to it and the floating screen is a nice touch. my wife loves it and its integration with the iPad is seamless.

Perfect, like all Apple products, this does not disappoint. Never having problems with connection

I like the size for a small workspace but I have to reconnect it each time I open my MacBook Air. Don’t know if it is me or the keyboard.

The build quality is typical Apple good, the keyboard is excellent (much has been written about it and the implementation in the new Macbook versions). It is very easy to detach the iPad from the keyboard and putting it back on. Always in place and I have never had issues that it would be too loose; the magnets are strong. However, there are a several negatives. It starts with opening the iPad, there is nothing like the little opening under the trackpad of traditional MacBooks, so each time I am fiddling around to open it (the magnets are really strong). Next, the adjustable angle is very limited, good enough for reading but as soon as working on the lap it is not far enough. The trackpad works but it feels like an old version of the very first laptops. It klicks loud and is far away from what one is used nowadays from MacBooks. The main limitation is weight, though. This is sooooo heavy, that I am considering buying a lightweight case without keyboard for traveling so I do not need to take the keyboard with me. But then, why did I buy it, in the end to leave my Macbook at home and have a lightweight device that could do most of the work for normal travel and for even most business trips. It is definitely not this. Taken together, there is nearly no advantage compared to my MacBook Pro 13, except having a touchscreen, however that comes along with all the limitations of the iPad vs a MacOS driven computer. I assume Apple fears following Microsoft with their Surface or all other PC manufacturers with their touchscreen laptops like the Carbon X1, however, a Macbook with a touchscreen is still what I want the most and would be the best solution for myself. For simple app use (credit cards, airlines, email, weather, …), I do have my iPhone, for most of the work application, the Macbook is still in the lead by far compared to the iPad (think about the file server limitations even on google drive, etc.). I don’t miss the function keys row, as I programmed the escape key onto the command key and for changing volume and brightness I use the usual iPad options. Now as I have it, I will use it and the use will be fun (the iPad Pro is still the best tablet out there in my view), however, the keyboard feels like an unsatisfying fix solution and it is more like a duplication of the Macbook with many caveats but an additional touchscreen.

I do like it but I would like to have seen better keys. They feel just like my macbook no connection issues

Looks great and work well and needs no batteries anymore.

I need a small ASCII keyboard due to the ergonomics of my music studio. I used to use a third-party keyboard which had a bigger footprint *and* smaller keys. This is a step up. It feels great – spacious and responsive. I am dinging it one star because of the awkward arrow key layout, which is worse than that of a comparable Apple laptop keyboard. I did get used to it, but its an imperfection.

Flawless in execution.

Only had it a few weeks but so far really like it. Nice you can use it on your lap and it does t tip over. Also nice you can just take the iPad out easily if needed.
