Use the black Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro from Apple to give your tablet a feel that rivals laptops. With its floating cantilever design, your 3rd and 4th Generation 12.9″ iPad Pro magnetically attaches to the Magic Keyboard for smooth viewing angle adjustments. Its full-size, backlit keys feature a scissor mechanism with 1mm travel for fast and quiet typing. The keyboard also has a built-in multi-gesture touchpad that allows precise interaction with iPadOS applications. A USB Type-C pass-through charging port is located on the keyboard folio’s hinge, freeing the iPad Pro’s port for peripherals such as external storage drives. Once you’re done, the keyboard doubles as a cover that protects the front and back of your iPad Pro.

Great product that has totally changed how I interact with my iPad Pro. As the iPad is my primary machine, this has revolutionized how I interact with it from reduction and touching the screen, to being able to quickly command certain aspects of the software through keystrokes or the touchpad. I was on the fence, but I’m glad that I purchased it. Apple has a homerun with this product and can only improve this in the future.

Not so magic, the keyboard would not pair with my computer. Customer service and tech department were quick to assist however it would only work if it was connected by usb. Ultimately a return was necessary. I’ve been doing business with B&H for years and this was the first time I needed to return an item so don’t let this one defective keyboard discourage you from trying it with your system.

The Pros: Get a usb-c port Get a trackpad Get a keyboard Case feels nice The Cons: Cannot use iPad at all in portrait mode. Only opens up to ‘laptop format’, cannot fold the keyboard back. You can’t use it with a pencil to take notes since there’s no way to lay it down on a table. Heavy Keys feel cheap and close together, like typing on a toy. Apps aren’t optimized for keyboard (ex. Chrome you need to tap on the menu bar before you can type a location) If I were to do it again, I wouldn’t purchase this. If this could fold all the way backward to use as a normal case when you don’t want the keyboard, it would be amazing. But this small issue complete ruins the product.

This is a terrific keyboard with great typing feel for key travel and really long battery life. Also a beautiful design in Space Grey color. I had originally bought a cheaper usb keyboard in Space Grey from a third party and the spacebar started squeaking after a couple weeks of typing. This one pairs instantly over bluetooth and there is zero lag/delay.

I wasn’t expecting to like this as much as I do, even having read a bunch of glowing reviews. It really does take the iPad to a new place, and the keyboard itself is very very solidly built. Only potential gripes are the considerable expense and the extra bit of battery draw for the backlight on the keyboard (adjustable of course), but otherwise it’s a very nice bit of kit.
